Cop Prays With Speeding Motorist, NOT Fired

What's a Christian police officer to do?  One day, an Indiana cop adds a ticketed driver to a prayer list and gets fired for proselytizing the citizenry, and the next day an Idaho cop prays for the passenger in a car stopped for breaking the law, yet he receives unmitigated praise for compassion and ignoring the violation.

[Kootenai County sheriff’s] Deputy Matthew Brakeman said the woman was going about 10 miles over the speed limit.

"I asked where they were headed, and she said to the oncologist," Brakeman said. "She then started to become a little bit emotional."

He learned the driver's mother had been battling cancer. They were making another painful visit to the doctor's office.

"Walked back up to the passenger side and asked her mother if she would accept a prayer," Brakeman said. "And she said, 'Absolutely.' So then we prayed and told them to have a good day and went back to my car."

Colo. Thousands March on Abortionist, Media Ignore

The media entirely missed about 2,000 Catholics quietly surrounding Planned Parenthood in Stapleton, Colorado ten days ago with Denver Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila leading a Eucharistic procession seven times around the murderous clinic praying for mothers, unborn children, and people who work there.
“Silence is an essential part of the procession as we unite our voices with those who have been silenced by abortion.”

The many enthusiastic pro-lifers who joined the procession began to pour into the street as the event began, according to the report. Karna Swanson, communications director for the archdiocese, said the turn-out was much larger than they expected.

“We were honestly expecting 500-800 people,” Swanson said. “Three times that number showed up. This provided a bit of a challenge for us logistically, as 1,800 people don’t exactly fit on the sidewalk of a city block.”

Swanson continued, “We wanted to make sure everyone who wanted to participate could, but we also didn’t want to give any reason for the police department to shut the event down.” Fortunately, local off-duty police were there to ensure the crowd didn’t impede traffic, according to the report.

“It was truly a moment of grace, a moment of blessing, a moment of praying to our Lord that hearts may be changed,” Archbishop Aquila said. “It was wonderful to see how many turned out today.”

To ensure the sacred nature of the Eucharistic procession, the archdiocesan liturgy office set the tone for the event and organized the logistics of the transferring the Eucharist to the site, in addition to providing prayer books for those in attendance.

Seminarians from St. John Vianney Theological Seminary led the people in the hymns and prayers each time the procession passed around the building. They also assisted with crowd management.

Families with young children were well-represented in the crowd, as well as religious sisters. The Nashville Dominicans, the Sisters of Life and the Missionary Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo were all present. Dozens of seminarians were on hand from both of the seminaries of Denver, as well as many members of the clergy.

'Anti-Gay' Religious Liberty Law: West Virginia

The West Virginia Religious Freedom Restoration Act (HB 4012) passed the House of Delegates 72-26 and is favored in the Republican-controlled Senate, but Democrat Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin may veto the bill.  Christians say the new RFRA law is necessary because the growing number of local nondiscrimination ordinances allow violations of their religious beliefs.  Sexual revolutionaries are threatening businesses in order to pressure politicians to kill the bill.
"This bill will give state courts a balancing test that guides judges in considering cases alleging that the action of a governmental body has violated a citizen's deeply held religious belief."
-- House Speaker Tim Armstead

"Religious freedom is a basic human right, and a vital Constitutional right, that deserves protection under West Virginia law. Every West Virginian should be free to live and work according to their faith without fear of being punished by the government."
-- House Majority Whip John O'Neal

Opponents say it's a license to discriminate, particularly against gay people.

The bill models after the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) and laws that have been adopted by more than 20 other states.

Under the bill, if a person attempts to defend in court their religious beliefs against government action, a judge would use the following questions to evaluate the merits of the case:
1.) Does a person have a sincerely held religious belief?
2.) Has that belief been substantially burdened by government?
3.) Does the government have a compelling interest to substantially burden that belief?
4.) Has government exhausted all other means to achieve its goals without infringing on that belief, and is the action the least restrictive of that citizen’s religious beliefs?

From "WV House passes Religious Freedom bill, sends to Senate" by Erin Beck, Staff Writer, Charleston Gazette-Mail 2/11/16

Supporters, mainly Republicans, argued that the bill simply codifies a balancing test for courts to abide by when determining if a person’s religious beliefs are being violated by state action and doesn’t guarantee any outcome of that test. Opponents, mainly Democrats, argued that the potential legislation will be bad for business, harm West Virginia’s reputation and encourage discrimination against marginalized groups.

Delegate Mike Azinger, R-Wood, spoke fervently and at length about his belief that the Founding Fathers supported a Christian government.

Some Democratic lawmakers noted that religion has been used to discriminate in the past.

Mayors of several cities with LGBT-inclusive nondiscrimination ordinances, as well as a coalition of businesses worried about the economic impact of the bill, had spoken out against it.

Representatives of Wal-Mart, West Virginia's largest private employer, and Mylan Pharmaceuticals, the state's fifth-largest employer, did not return multiple phone calls and emails. Wal-Mart opposed a similar bill in Arkansas, where the company is based.

Gary Broadbent, spokesman for Murray Energy Corp., said the company would not comment. Murray Energy is the sixth-largest private employer in the state, employing about 3,000 people in West Virginia. Broadbent did say the company has an LGBT-inclusive nondiscrimination policy.

Male Girl Scout Thrills Media: Selling Transgender

The liberal media is avidly reporting the "fantastic news" of 9-year-old Stormi, a boy whose foster mother dresses him as a girl, for selling thousands of Girl Scout Cookies online to sexual revolutionaries.  The boy from Herrin, in downstate Illinois, struck out selling door-to-door after his neighbor told him, "Nobody wants to buy cookies from a boy in a dress."

So, what will the media report once this 52-year-old man, who says he's a 6-year-old girl, goes door-to-door?

Stormi was knocking on doors with her foster mother [Kim] last month when a man at one home expressed opposition to the Girl Scouts of America’s inclusive policies by insulting a little girl.

. . . “Stormi’s Cookie World,” her online shop, has passed its goal of selling over 2,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies, the site showed Tuesday night. Stormi’s family is donating cookies to “local foster kids like me,” she wrote on the site.

The Girl Scouts have allowed transgender girls to join since 2011, CNN reported last spring. The right-wing American Family Association started a petition in May saying Girl Scouts of America has “lost its moral compass” and accusing it of a new policy saying “Boys dressing as girls can join.” Over 40,000 people had signed Tuesday night.

The national organization's official policy states it places transgender girls on a "case-by-case basis" and that the organization can serve them with a safe setting if the child lives as a girl and is recognized as one by friends and family. Jay Strobel, a spokesman for Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois, told The Washington Post Stormi’s efforts are “amazing” in an interview.

Supporters have rallied around Stormi’s cause.

Pro-lifers March on D.C. Amid Government Shutdown

Federal bureaucrats closed Washington D.C. on Friday in the face of the deadly winter weather front closing in on the city, but tens of thousands of citizens braved the weather in D.C. for the 43rd annual March for Life to denounce the deadly politics of Roe v. Wade that is responsible for killing scores of millions of unborn children.  The national mainstream media was virtually absent the event and only one 2016 presidential candidate showed up — a woman!
“The establishment media and political class don’t want us to talk about what the abortion industry is doing. You saw what happened when I talked about the horrific truth of the planned parenthood videos during a Republican debate. Unlike the media, you’ve watched the videos. You’ve seen an aborted baby, it’s legs kicking, it’s heart beating while the technician describes how they would keep these babies alive to harvest their organs.”

With much of the D.C. region in the midst of complete shut-down frenzy – grocery and sled stores were packed, though downtown D.C. was quiet — for what is predicted to be a historic snow storm, city officials had suggested to the March for Life organizers that they prioritize participants’ safety – what sounded like a hint to cancel. But actual snow held off for the first hour or so of the event, giving protesters a chance to rally at the foot of the Washington Monument, before the temperatures plunged and the snow began to fall as the march up to the Supreme Court began.

The overall scene was dramatically smaller than normal, with usually-crowded sidewalks and lawns all along the Mall instead dotted with protesters, including nuns and priests in their garb and packs of Catholic school students holding signs and wearing hats that matched their group. Evangelical leaders made a concerted effort this year to bring their activists to what is traditionally a strongly Catholic event and several national evangelical leaders spoke from the stage to the rally.

Among those in the crowd was Richard Stith, 71, an Indiana law professor who called himself a part of a segment he dubbed “lefties for life” — Catholics whom he said support issues like the death penalty and LGBT rights as part of “a consistent ethic for life.” He said he had been a member of a group called Socialists for Life as well and always felt welcome at the march.

Tens of thousands of the movement’s faithful — made up largely of high school and college students outfitted in matching jackets, scarves or hats — took to the streets to protest on the 43rd anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion.

Event organizers also took notice [of the youthful demographic], passing out signs proclaiming the arrival of the “Pro-Life Generation.”

“A lot of us are young people — the pro-life generation — who care about life from womb to tomb,” said Victor Esposito, 20, who was with a group of students from Catholic University of America wearing red embroidered scarves.

“There’s come this recognition that as more and more science and technology comes out, we begin to recognize that life really does start at conception,” he added.

The theme of the March, “Pro-life and pro-women go hand in hand,” sought to emphasize the gender diversity of the anti-abortion-rights movement, challenging the narrative that opposition to abortion constitutes a “war on women.”

From "Fiorina becomes pro-life favorite through struggling presidential bid" by Paige Winfield Cunningham, Washington Examiner 1/22/16

In her trademark pointed and articulate style, Fiorina launched an attack on abortion rights and the groups that promote them . . . "You can scream and throw condoms at me all day long — you cannot scare me," Fiorina said, to cheers from the crowd of activists gathered on the National Mall. "I know the value of life."

While nearly all of Fiorina's Republican opponents hold the same positions on abortion, favoring more restrictions on it and backing recent efforts by Congress to block public funding for Planned Parenthood, Fiorina has eagerly embraced the topic in a way the others haven't.

"Ideological feminism now shuts down conversation on college campuses and in the media," Fiorina said at the March for Life. "If you are a conservative who doesn't believe the litany of the Left, you are waging a war on women."

There's broad feeling among the anti-abortion movement that it needs more focus on how abortion affects women, partially to counter the "war on women" messaging that Democrats, Planned Parenthood and other supporters of abortion rights have pushed. Fiorina agrees with that goal.

Sued for Playing Christian Music: Michigan Dentist

Tina M. Marshall, a dentist in Lake Orion, Michigan, is being sued in Oakland County by former employees Nancy Kordus, Kimberly Hinson, Tammy Kulis and Sara Bambard for violating Michigan’s Elliott Larsen Civil Rights Act.  The plaintiffs claim they were fired and discriminated against for objecting to Marshall's choice of Christian music played in the dental office and for their rejection of Marshall's prayers.

However, the story is much deeper than this lawsuit as investigative media sources allude to Marshall's association with co-defendant Craig Stasio, a local chiropractor and alleged "cult leader" who brainwashes young adults.

David Kotzian, who is representing the former Marshall employees, would not comment further on what damages his clients are seeking from the suit but referred to the complaint, which specifies “they are seeking damages for loss of past and future income and employment benefits, outrage, humiliation, embarrassment, mental anxiety, emotional distress, and loss of professional reputation.”

Lawyers for Marshall filed a response to the lawsuit in November, denying claims she forced her religious practices on her staff.

Her lawyer, Keith Jablonski, told The Washington Post this week his client is “being attacked in this lawsuit for her Christian beliefs, based solely on her desire to play religious music and radio stations in the dental office of the business that she owns.”

“We believe that when the facts, and not baseless allegations, are presented to a jury, we will establish that this group of former disgruntled employees are simply looking to profit off of their own prejudices towards Dr. Marshall and her Christian faith,” he said. “Dr. Marshall flatly denies engaging in any discriminatory employment practices.”

Marshall purchased the dental practice in 2008 but her religious practices were only incorporated at the office as she became part of a local ministry run by Craig Stasio in 2013.

During a restructuring of the dental office [orchestrated by Stasio], almost all of Marshall's previous employees were fired or resigned, apart from one dental hygienist who still works for the practice.

Of the plaintiffs, Hansin [sic] had worked for the practice, previously ran by Dr. Raphael Flajole, as a dental hygienist for about 32 years. Kordus began working for the practice as a dental assistant in about 1993, and Kulis at the front desk in 1994. The three became employees of Marshall when she purchased the practice in 2008. Bambard began working for Marshall in 2011 at the front desk.

According to the lawsuit Marshall began playing the Christian music after she and her daughter Brittney joined Stasio's ministry sometime in 2013.

The lawsuit also alleges that Marshall would pray over patients receiving dental treatment, hung religious pictures in her office, placed holy water at her front desk, and maintained a diary of religious activity that occurred at her practice. The front cover of the diary stated "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want."

Media coverage kicked in after chiropractor Dr. Craig Stasio of Centerline offered his business expertise in revamping the dentist office, including terminating employees' contracts and organizing internal departments.

Fox 2 News has also aired several stories on Stasio in 2014 and one on November 23, 2015 claiming he is a cult leader, that he is ripping families apart, and most recently, that he is trying to groom teens, or recruit them, to a Christian ministry.

[Also, Jim & Tina Marshall] recently purchased a two-floor laser tag facility in Clinton Township.

The Marshalls changed the name from Laser Edge to Laser Tag of Clinton Township, and hired Stasio to manage the business.

[Mrs.] Marshall laughed when asked if it was a recruitment center for teenagers to enter Stasio's religious ministry.

According to Marshall, her husband Jim had been "born again and spiritual" for years before meeting Stasio at a bible study in the Marshall's basement.

From "Mich. Parents Claim Massage Therapy Office Is a Front for Christian Cult" by Morgan Lee, Christian Post Reporter 3/14/14

In a WJBK-TV report released on Wednesday, correspondent Rob Wolchek investigated claims from more than 12 family members who allege that Dr. Craig Stasio, who owns and operates the Clinton Township-based Agape Massage Therapy & Chiropractic, persuaded their relatives to drop out of college and move into a commune filled with office employees.

According to the organization's Facebook page, they "are a Christian faith-based company offering both massage therapy and chiropractic services. Glory be to our Lord Jesus Christ!"

Wolchek sent two undercover reporters into Stasio's office to learn more about its employees.

Parents told WJBK-TV that their daughters have referred to Stasio as "the prophet." Sources also said that literature associated with the movement suggests that he believes in a three-year tribulation, "where the sign of the beast is a computer chip" and "most people that are churched will hold onto the law and perish in the fire."

From "Dentist office loses employees after 'Prophet' steps in" by Meg Peters, Co-Editor, The Lake Orion Review, posted at Oxford Leader 8/5/15

Stasio refrained from speaking with Fox 2 News investigator Rob Wolchek in 2014, however has since denied being the leader of any cult, and other allegations including that he had influenced his followers to distance themselves from their families and previous ways of life.

The Oakland County Sheriff Department Orion Substation has looked into the previous news stories, and no incidents have been reported about the dentist office on Baldwin.

Stasio explained the "following" is a "fellowship" and even a "fraternity" consisting of 20 to 30 people gathering on almost a daily basis.

They are in their mid-twenties to sixties, who are Christians simply "getting together, eating, praying, worshiping, reading the Bible, and fellowshipping" in non-structured group gatherings.

A Facebook post to The Lake Orion Chat Room dated July 17 read that a few changes had come to a local dentist office, including "Craig Stasio the Cult Chiropractor doctor" who "came in last week with a whole new crew from his ministry to work in the office."

When asked if Jim Marshall felt like he was in a cult he said, "absolutely not. I don't know why people come up with that. When Jesus was here on earth they actually said he was in a cult, it's in the Bible. We follow Jesus Christ, he's the one in Heaven, not Craig Stasio."

Jim Marshall said they had hired Stasio as their consultant because he has over 20 years of business experience.

From "Failed business to business consulting, is Stasio misunderstood?" by Meg Peters, Co-Editor, The Lake Orion Review, posted at Oxford Leader 8/12/15

Several instances in Dr. Craig Stasio's past have left previous employees of Dr. Tina Marshall puzzled as to why she requested he restructure her business practice.

[Stasio recounted,] "I said to Tina, 'the only way this is going to work, where I'll have any capacity to help you, is they have to be under the impression that when I come in I have jurisdiction to do what I see I have jurisdiction to do."

According to the 2008 Disciplinary action report of the Michigan Bureau of Health Professionals, Craig Allen Stasio, D.C., was fined and put on probation May 13, 2008 for a violation of General Duty/Negligence.

One report from 2004 determined Stasio had engaged in sexual activity with a massage therapist, which Stasio also confirmed.

Stasio was taken to jail in Sterling Heights, and after being released hired a retired FBI investigator for the case, resulting in the prosecuting attorney dropping all charges. Stasio said he could prove he was not even in the same city as the massage therapist when she made the call, and had multiple witnesses and testimony.

Stasio turned to Christianity ten years ago after a "radical life changing supernatural encounter with God."

Both Jim and Tina Marshall said his past is of no importance, and trust him along with his recommendations.

Man, 52, Newly Adopted, Becomes 6-year-old Girl

Paul Wolscht, abandoned his wife Maria and seven children, then subsequently was "adopted" into a sexually-deviant family of a polyamorous woman with her male partner (a homosexual pedophile who sodomizes Wolscht as if Wolscht were a young boy), so Wolscht, believing he's a prepubescent girl named Stefonknee, claims the label of "trans-aged transgender" — and this is being embraced as legitimate!
“Well, I have a mummy and a daddy… adopted mummy and daddy who are totally comfortable with me being a little girl. And their children, and their grandchildren, are totally supportive. In fact, her youngest granddaughter… When I was eight. A year ago, I was eight, and she was seven. And she said to me, ‘I want you to be the little sister, so I’ll be nine.’ I said, ‘Well, I don’t mind going to six.’ So I’ve been six ever since… But, we have a great time. We color, we do kids stuff. It’s called play therapy. No medication, no suicide thoughts. And I just get to play.”

Stefonknee, who then went by her given name Paul, began dating a woman named Maria in high school, and they later married. Maria was surprised by Paul’s love of women’s clothing, but was initially supportive, and even bought him an outfit.

‘The next day, she bought me a black pleated skirt, a white blouse, and a grey camisole… so then I had an ally.’

But while Maria was supportive of her husband’s cross-dressing, she did not accept him as transgender.

Pope Dismisses Homosexual Appeals for Africa Trip

Once again, the liberal western media came away disappointed from Pope Francis' trip to several African nations after he ignored the din of their appeals to condemn Ugandans' rejection of the Gay Agenda and condemnation of homosexual behavior.

Alas, the media cried as their first "gay pope" dashed their sexual revolutionary hopes.

At a recent Vatican meeting on family issues, African cardinals were at the forefront in blocking the church's overtures to gays and in insisting that the Catholic Church as a whole denounce this "ideological colonization," saying wealthy countries have no right to impose their ideas on poor countries with different cultural views.

Stronger anti-gay legislation [in Uganda] was supported by local church leaders who said it was necessary to protect poor African children from Western homosexuals who lure them with money.

Pope Francis traveled to Uganda's holiest shrine on Saturday, paying tribute to 19th century Christian martyrs killed for their faith, including for protecting young boys in the royal court from [homosexual] abuse by the king.

Twenty-five Anglicans and 22 Catholic converts where killed during the persecutions, mostly by being burned to death, between 1884 and 1887 on the orders of King Buganda Mwanga II.

The most famous of the Catholic converts was Charles Lwanga, a prefect in the royal court who was in charge of the boy pages and was killed because he tried to protect the children from the sexual advances of the king.

"They did this in dangerous times," the pope said during a Mass celebrated from a concrete island on an artificial lake on the shrine complex outside the capital Kampala.

The story of the 45 [19th century] martyrs is relevant to tensions over gay and lesbian rights in several African nations, including Uganda, because according to one version of the story, these young Christian men were executed after spurning the advances of a traditional king.

What’s beyond dispute is that between 1885 and 1887, on the orders of King Mwanga II, 22 young Catholics and 23 Anglicans were killed after being ruthlessly tortured. Some were burned alive, while others were ripped apart with a spear, savaged by feral dogs, or viciously dismembered.

At a press conference in Kampala on Friday, the relationship between the martyrs’ legacy and the current situation vis-à-vis gays and lesbians was addressed by local organizers of the papal trip.

Instead of any reference to gay rights, Francis used Saturday’s homily to praise the martyrs for their willingness to pass on the faith in times of difficulty.

The Pope was leaving after a three-day official maiden visit to Uganda on his trip to Africa. His visit started in Kenya, where he was for three days, and will end in Central African Republic (CAR) where he will be for another two days.

But how did the Western media cover Pope Francis' visit to Uganda?

CNN seemed to focus on the gay issue and one of their stories was: Pope faces challenge in Uganda, where gays are under attack [see excerpt below], a headline that left many Ugandans wondering why the channel trivialised what many called a historic visit.

Other media seemed to pick up on that line with The Guardian of UK saying: Pope Francis passes up chance to condemn Uganda's anti-gays, and The Independent of UK writing: Persecuted Ugandan gays call for help from Pope Francis on visit.

"[Pope Francis'] stand is simply hypocritical. He must take a stand as a leader. I don't believe in being lukewarm," says Pastor Solomon Male. "You tell the people that this is the truth, this is the way. Homosexuality is dangerous."

Ugandan [homosexual] rights groups watched in horror as a version of the anti-gay bill was passed in parliament in late 2013. And despite intense pressure from the international community, President Yoweri Museveni signed the bill into law in February of the following year.

Shortly afterward, Museveni told CNN that homosexuality is "unnatural" and not a human right.

"They're disgusting. What sort of people are they?" he said. "I never knew what they were doing. I've been told recently that what they do is terrible. Disgusting. But I was ready to ignore that if there was proof that that's how [a man] is born, abnormal. But now the proof is not there."

In the end the law was thrown out on a technicality by the constitutional court -- a move many see as an effort by the President to avoid donor withdrawals while saving face domestically.

But the main sponsor of the bill, MP David Bahati, said lawmakers are planning to bring it back to parliament in a new form.

Mother Plans Sexual Mutilation of Son, Media Cheer

The mainstream media is ecstatic over a viral YouTube video from Detroit, Michigan by Erica Maison showing her 14-year-old son, Corey, when she gave him a surprise present:  Female hormone medication so that the boy can be prepared for surgery in a few years to remove his genitals.  Corey began pretending to be a girl, including at school, after his mother taught him about "transgender" children.
“We all just want to be loved and accepted by others. And that's all any transgender child wants, is to be loved and accepted fully by their parents.”

Last week, the transgender teen from Detroit received a life-changing gift inside a little pink and white box: her first dose of estrogen. And her emotional response, caught on camera by her mother, Erica Maison, has gone viral.

Erica said Corey has faced a number of hurdles in the past two-and-a-half years, especially when she “still looked like a boy and was dressing like a girl.” She was turned away from neighborhood parties and scolded for her attire. At school, Corey was bullied so much, Erica said, that she pulled her out in the fifth grade and homeschooled her. Finding medical professionals that specialize in transgender people, let alone transgender teens, was a challenge.

Erica said that things have gotten easier. She and Corey found the gender clinic at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, where Corey underwent hormone treatments to stop male puberty. Now with her estrogen treatments, Corey will be able to start female puberty.

Once Corey “looked more like a girl,” Erica said, things became “so much easier.” Corey dismissed her neighborhood bullies, and many of them stopped picking on her. Some even became her friends. Corey even felt comfortable enough to re-enroll in public school for 8th grade.

The video, less than a minute long, shows Corey Maison  finding a package filled with the first dose of a hormones — which means she has been given the medical go-ahead.

“Today after waiting 2 1/2 years she FINALLY got her estrogen. I picked it up while she was in school so she had no idea. We have been waiting months for the readiness letter to be finalized and sent to Chicago, so had no idea on a timeline of when it would actually happen. Sorry I had to stop recording because we were both blubbering sobbing fools LOL. September 24th is a day I will remember for the rest of my life!” said Corey’s mom, Erica Maison writing on YouTube.

According to her mother, Corey is usually busy riding her penny skateboard, playing Call of Duty on her Xbox, and obsessing over makeup. “She has more than I ever had my entire life,” Erica told BuzzFeed. But this particular day was different. This was the day Corey would be permitted to begin hormone therapy.

Muslim President? How About Christian — Ben Carson

After the fury over presidential candidate Ben Carson saying that he wouldn't support a Muslim for president because Islamic Sharia Law is in conflict with the Constitution, liberal attack media have dug up old video of Carson explaining to a Christian audience that evolution is a satanic theory.

Thus, the media is asking, Can a Bible-believing Christian be president?

“[Socialists] have to knock down the strongest pillars: the Judeo-Christian belief system and the strong family values.”
“[The theory of evolution] has become what is scientifically, politically correct. Amazingly, there are a significant number of scientists who do not believe it but they’re afraid to say anything.”

On Tuesday, Buzzfeed uncovered a speech given by Carson in 2012 in which he called the Big Bang Theory part of the fairy tales created by scientists and said Darwin's theory of evolution was "encouraged" by the devil.

The speech, titled "Celebration of Creation," also includes Carson calling scientists "highfalutin" and the Big Bang "ridiculous."

Carson, who has always been outspoken about his views on creationism, is no stranger to bombastic viewpoints and opinions.

From "Ben Carson’s Religious Beliefs Come Under Scrutiny" by David Knowles, Bloomberg 9/23/15

[This week] several articles have been written pointing to a 2011 speech Carson delivered to fellow Seventh Day Adventists. Titled “Celebration of Creation” . . .

“I find the big bang really quite fascinating. I mean, here you have all these highfalutin scientists and they’re saying it was this gigantic explosion and everything came into perfect order. Now these are the same scientists that go around touting the second law of thermodynamics, which is entropy, which says that things move toward a state of disorganization,” Carson said in his 2011 speech. “So now you’re gonna have this big explosion and everything becomes perfectly organized and when you ask them about it they say, ‘Well we can explain this, based on probability theory because if there’s enough big explosions, over a long period of time, billions and billions of years, one of them will be the perfect explosion,” continued Carson. “So I say what you’re telling me is if I blow a hurricane through a junkyard enough times over billions and billions of years, eventually after one of those hurricanes there will be a 747 fully loaded and ready to fly.”

From "Ben Carson Believes Big Bang Is Fairy Tale, Evolution ‘Encouraged’ By Devil" by The Associated Press - CBS News (Washington, D.C.) 9/23/15

In a speech at Cedarville University Tuesday, Carson defended his comments, saying he shouldn’t be denigrated for his faith.

“Here’s the key, I then say to [evolutionists] look, ‘I’m not going to criticize you. You have a lot more faith then I have.’ I don’t have enough faith to believe that,” he said, according to BuzzFeed News.

He added, “I give you credit for that, but I’m not going to denigrate you because of your faith and you shouldn’t denigrate me for mine. And that’s the kind of attitude … that I think is very important in the society in which we live today.”

From "Dr. Ben Carson’s Life Story Rests on a Deep Adventist Faith" by Jack Martinez and Matthew Cooper, Newsweek 9/20/15

Carson has argued for the superiority of creationism over the theory of evolution. In an interview with Newsweek earlier this year, he distanced himself from certitude about the Earth’s age. “I don’t know how old the earth is and the distance between ages,” he said. “There could be a billion years between ages.” He has said that his beliefs about science and religion “correlate.”

Carson’s rise in the polls as he seeks the Republican presidential nomination has spurred interest in the church that has shaped so much of his life. If he continues to gain momentum, Americans are bound to have questions about the Seventh-day Adventists, just as they did about Mitt Romney’s Mormon faith and, at another time, John F. Kennedy’s Catholicism.

Adventists share many of the ideological tenets of evangelical Christianity. Carson the Adventist is another voice in a large field of Christian conservative presidential candidates, such as Baptists Mike Huckabee and Ted Cruz and Catholic Rick Santorum. By some estimates, there are 1.2 million Adventists in the U.S.

Evangelicals make up a major part of Carson’s current base . . .

“You know, scientists like Sir Isaac Newton – considered one of the most scientific minds ever, inventor of calculus, so many things – had a strong belief in God, big mission outreach,” said Dr. Carson.  “Einstein!  When you think about genius, what is the word you come up with?  Einstein. He believed in God.”

“One of the things I’m hoping to do over the next few years, one of the books coming up on my docket,” Carson continued,  “is called The Organ of Species – not The Origin of Species, The Organ of Species – and we’re going to talk about the organs of the body and how they completely refute evolution, and several other things as well.”

In 2004, Carson served on the President’s Council on Bioethics and in 2008 he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. In 2010, Dr. Carson was elected into the National Academy of Sciences Institute of Medicine, considered one of the most prestigious honors in medicine.

Pope vs Obama's Abortion & Gay Agenda — Media Bias

As the mainstream media tout the Pope's embrace of earth-worshiping climate change theory and adoration of Catholic socialists in American history, the public may have missed the portions of his address to Congress against abortion, same-sex marriage, and the degradation of family, as well as Pope Francis' very visible opposition to ObamaCare's attacks on religious liberty.

. . . Let us remember the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” (Mt 7:12). . . . The yardstick we use for others will be the yardstick which time will use for us. The Golden Rule also reminds us of our responsibility to protect and defend human life at every stage of its development.

. . . I will end my visit to your country in Philadelphia, where I will take part in the World Meeting of Families. It is my wish that throughout my visit the family should be a recurrent theme. How essential the family has been to the building of this country! And how worthy it remains of our support and encouragement! Yet I cannot hide my concern for the family, which is threatened, perhaps as never before, from within and without. Fundamental relationships are being called into question, as is the very basis of marriage and the family. I can only reiterate the importance and, above all, the richness and the beauty of family life.

In particular, I would like to call attention to those family members who are the most vulnerable, the young. . . . we might say that we live in a culture which pressures young people not to start a family, because they lack possibilities for the future. Yet this same culture presents others with so many options that they too are dissuaded from starting a family. . . .

God bless America!

From "In meeting with nuns, Pope Francis makes quiet protest of Obamacare" by Gregory Korte, USA TODAY 9/23/15

Pope Francis made an unscheduled stop to visit the Little Sisters of the Poor Wednesday, a move that Vatican officials said was intended to send a message of support in the nuns' battle against Obamacare.

The religious order of Catholic sisters is suing the Obama administration over a provision of the Affordable Care Act that the administration has interpreted as requiring the sisters to purchase health insurance with birth control coverage.

Louisville Archbishop Joseph Kurtz, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, said the court case represents the broader understanding of freedom of religion held by the Catholic church.

“Freedom of religion also means the ability to live out your religion,” he said. “The last thing the Little Sisters of the Poor want to do is sue somebody. They want to serve the poor and the elderly, and do so in a way that doesn’t conflict with their beliefs. We feel strongly about that. It’s a freedom not of special privilege, it’s a freedom to serve others, and serve others in such a way that does not compromise the integrity of our beliefs.”

From "Pope visited Little Sisters of the Poor to show support in fight against Obama’s HHS mandate: Vatican" by Lisa Bourne, LifeSiteNews 9/24/15

The Holy Father visited the Little Sisters of the Poor Wednesday after earlier in the day calling for protection of religious freedom in his welcome address at the White House.

“This is a sign, obviously of support for them,” said Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi, head of the Holy See Press Office. “In this sense it is connected also to the words that the Pope has said in support of the Bishops of the United States in the speech to President Obama.”

The sisters’ refusal to compromise their Catholic values by providing contraception and abortifacients to their staff as required with the Obamacare mandate and resulting continued legal fight for a mandate exemption, rejected because they don’t exclusively employ Catholics and they serve people of all faiths, has made them an example of the attack on religious freedom in the U.S.

The [Obama] administration demanded the nuns comply in January 2014 even after the Supreme Court gave them an injunction temporarily protecting them from the mandate.

From "5 Judges: Forcing Contraception Reg on Nuns Like Providing 'Only Non-Kosher Food' to Jewish Prisoner" by Terence P. Jeffrey, CNSNews.com 9/24/15

Five appeals court judges have joined in a dissenting opinion stating that the type of argument being used to justify the government's efforts to force the Little Sisters of the Poor to comply with an Obamacare regulation that requires their health-care plan to cover sterilizations, contraceptives and abortion-inducing drugs could also be used to force a Christian to work on Dec. 25 because the court had determined that “sources show that Jesus was actually born in March.”

Or, the judges said, the same type of reasoning could be used to justify providing a Jewish prisoner with “only non-Kosher food.”

The judges were objecting to a decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit, on which they sit, which ruled that the Obama administration can force the nuns to comply with the regulation even though doing so compels the sisters to act against their Catholic faith.

“The Little Sisters of the Poor are Catholic nuns who devote their lives to caring for the elderly poor,” said [the Catholic organization's] petition. “The government has put them to the impossible choice of either violating the law or violating the faith upon which their lives and ministry are based.

“When a law demands that a person do something the person considers sinful and the penalty for refusal is a large financial penalty, then the law imposes a substantial burden on that person’s free exercise of religion,” said the judges.

Homosexualist Oregon Persecutes Christian Judge

A county judge who stopped officiating all weddings is being targeted for personal destruction by homosexual activists in Oregon media and even by the Commission on Judicial Fitness and Disability, as they investigate every aspect of his life, including his complaints to referees after his son was injured at a soccer game.
"It appears that the commission has thrown everything in but the kitchen sink. The clear issue that they're after me on is that I had stopped doing weddings because I have a firmly held religious conviction."

An Oregon judge who refused to perform same-sex marriages is facing multiple complaints in a state ethics investigation, including that he put up a picture of Adolf Hitler in the Salem courthouse, a state judicial commission said on Tuesday.

Patrick Korten, a spokeswoman for Day, said the complaints were baseless. He said the Hitler picture was part of a display to honor the service of veterans in World War Two and not to glorify the Nazi dictator.

Day has retained an attorney and will be allowed to present evidence at a Nov. 9 hearing, according to the judicial commission notice.

The commission could send the complaint to the Oregon Supreme Court if it finds the judge guilty of violating the judicial code of conduct and the state constitution.

Marion County Judge Vance Day said the Hitler portrait was not intended to glorify the Nazi dictator but was part of a display on democracy's defeat of fascism. Day, a former chairman of the Oregon Republican Party, said he's being targeted because of his Christian beliefs.

Day is the head of the Veterans Treatment Court, which aims to provide intensive monitoring of veterans to treat drug and alcohol problems as an alternative to jail. Several of the allegations against him stem from his interactions with veterans and displays he placed around his courtroom.

When a federal court ruling in May 2014 made same-sex marriage legal in Oregon, Day instructed his staff to refer same-sex couples looking to marry to other judges. Later, he decided to stop performing marriages altogether. Day said same-sex marriage violates his religious beliefs.

While the judicial fitness commission gets dozens of complaints each year, it's rare for one to result in a formal disciplinary proceeding. Since 2007, five judges have been referred to the Supreme Court for sanctions, said Susan Isaacs, the commission's executive director.

After the game, Judge Day allegedly approached the referees’ table to complain about the performance of a game official. Court documents show he threatened to report the incident to higher authorities.

At another game less than one month later, Judge Day claimed he was physically assaulted while attempting to speak with officials at the referee’s table.

Marion County Circuit Judge Vance Day needs to retire with his "deeply-held religious beliefs," now that the evolving complexity of justice has overwhelmed him.

Day – who attends Morning Star Community Church in Salem – is welcome to [his religious freedom rights under the First Amendment] when he's off the bench. But that faith-based stamp-of-approval is precisely what many couples seek to avoid when they head to the courthouse, rather than the local chapel, to finalize this civil transaction.

Day has had a great deal of time to ponder his Constitutional oath, the requirements of his faith, and his responsibility to ensure that neither his words nor conduct in the courtroom "manifest bias or prejudice."

From "Gays target Oregon judge for purge because he won't participate in perverted weddings" by David Drudge, Catholic Online 9/8/15

Judges are important to the homosexual equivalency movement, which relies on secular support to legally affirm their civil-marriage status. Few churches are willing to participate in what is widely viewed as a perversion of marriage.

The developing issue is whether or not public officials can refuse to perform a legally prescribed duty on the basis of religious conviction. The answer appears to be no, a public official is required to perform all of their duties, regardless. This was the verdict in the case of Kim Davis, an elected county clerk who refused to participate in gay marriages by issuing licenses with her name on them.

In Ohio, the Supreme Court's Board of Professional Conduct also announced its ruling that judges in the state could not refuse to marry same-sex couples on any personal ground, including moral or religious.

This is sadism, akin to Nero. According to legend, Nero often had Christians killed at his parties for spectacle. They could be burned alive as human torches to illuminate his gardens. What the homosexual lobby appears to be doing is something similar. They are actively seeking public officials who disagree with their perversion and they are insisting that they, in particular, burn for their ceremonies. Granted, nobody dies, but the suffering felt by these people who have faithfully served the public all their lives, is very real.
