Male Girl Scout Thrills Media: Selling Transgender

The liberal media is avidly reporting the "fantastic news" of 9-year-old Stormi, a boy whose foster mother dresses him as a girl, for selling thousands of Girl Scout Cookies online to sexual revolutionaries.  The boy from Herrin, in downstate Illinois, struck out selling door-to-door after his neighbor told him, "Nobody wants to buy cookies from a boy in a dress."

So, what will the media report once this 52-year-old man, who says he's a 6-year-old girl, goes door-to-door?

Stormi was knocking on doors with her foster mother [Kim] last month when a man at one home expressed opposition to the Girl Scouts of America’s inclusive policies by insulting a little girl.

. . . “Stormi’s Cookie World,” her online shop, has passed its goal of selling over 2,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies, the site showed Tuesday night. Stormi’s family is donating cookies to “local foster kids like me,” she wrote on the site.

The Girl Scouts have allowed transgender girls to join since 2011, CNN reported last spring. The right-wing American Family Association started a petition in May saying Girl Scouts of America has “lost its moral compass” and accusing it of a new policy saying “Boys dressing as girls can join.” Over 40,000 people had signed Tuesday night.

The national organization's official policy states it places transgender girls on a "case-by-case basis" and that the organization can serve them with a safe setting if the child lives as a girl and is recognized as one by friends and family. Jay Strobel, a spokesman for Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois, told The Washington Post Stormi’s efforts are “amazing” in an interview.

Stormi started selling her cookies through the Girl Scouts’s online portal, Digital Cookies, last week. . . .

Supporters have rallied around Stormi’s cause.

A New York-based comedy duo gave people who bought Stormi’s cookies free admission to a show. A California multimedia musical agreed to donate a box for every ticket sold.

An LGBTQ support group in Idaho sent out a call for support, too. . . .

After a troop in Colorado admitted a 7-year-old transgender girl in 2011, several Girl Scout troops in Louisiana disbanded in protest and a California teen called for a boycott.

Gay Agenda Destroys Everything it Contacts

Let's review the effects of the Gay Agenda:  sharp rise in STDs (not only HIV/AIDS) mostly associated with anal sex; exploding rates of transgender delusion (even among children) resulting in more suicides; lower marriage rates and kids raised without their mother or father; the demise of (gay-affirming) mainline church denominations; weakening of the once-strongest force for good in the world (U.S. military); public education transformed to indoctrination and social experimentation; demise of the Girl Scouts (after lesbian leaders took over) . . .

and now, the end of the Boy Scouts of America.

-- From "Boy Scouts OK gay leaders; Mormon church may quit" by Erik Eckholm, The New York Times 7/28/15

The Boy Scouts of America on Monday ended its nationwide ban on openly gay adult leaders. But despite a compromise allowing conservative church-sponsored units to pick their own volunteer leaders, the Mormon church, the country’s largest sponsor of Scout units, said it might leave the organization.

To avoid the wholesale defection of conservative religious groups, the Boy Scouts said church-based local units would remain free to exclude gay adults from voluntary leadership roles like scoutmasters and Cub Scout den and pack leaders.

Mormons use the Boy Scouts as their main nonreligious activity for boys, and the Cub Scout and Boy Scout units they sponsor accounted for 17 percent of all youths in Scouting in 2013, the last year for which data have been published.

Under the Boy Scout policy adopted Monday, discrimination based on sexual orientation will also be barred in all Boy Scout offices and for all paid jobs — a step that could head off looming lawsuits in New York, Colorado and other states that prohibit such discrimination in employment.

From "Are lawsuits ahead for church-based Boy Scout troops?" by Adelle M. Banks, Religion News Service (Washington Post) 7/27/15

. . . Scout officials say religious groups — which make up some 70 percent of chartered organizations — would still have the option to exclude gays even [with the new policy as] adopted.

“What they’re not taking into account is the new frontier that we’re on, where judges are being social change agents,” said John Stemberger, chairman of Trail Life USA, which bills itself as a Christian alternative to the Boy Scouts.

Trail Life issued its own eight-page legal memo, written by a former BSA lawyer who is now Trail Life’s general counsel.

“The church-chartered troop will likely be sued the moment it tries to revoke the membership of the homosexual member who wears his uniform to the Gay Pride Parade, revokes or denies membership to an adult who publicly gets married to someone of the same sex, or denies membership to the girl who believes she is actually a male,” the Trail Life memo reads.

From "Why Boy Scouts stance on gay leaders leaves it in limbo" by Amanda Paulson, Staff Writer, Christian Science Monitor 7/27/15

“You’ve got a highly divided organization,” says Richard Ellis, a political science professor at Willamette University in Salem, Ore., and the author of “Judging the Boy Scouts of America.” “Now it’s not clear that even this solution, which is an attempt to get the [gay rights] issue out of the way, can do it, because nobody is happy with it.”

. . . Some 70 percent of Boy Scout troops are now run by faith-based groups. By the time the BSA considered changing its ban on gay Scout leaders in 2013, it polled its membership and got incredible pushback, Ellis says. Nearly all the councils in the Northeast wanted the anti-gay policy changed, while 80 percent of the Southern councils wanted it to stay the same. The organization worried about an exodus of members. In the end, it decided to go with lifting the ban on gay youths, but not gay adults.

A BSA decision to lift the ban on gay adults but still leave hiring decisions to the discretion of local religious-based organizations affiliated with troops might have seemed progressive if the Scouts had taken that stance 25 years ago, when many first urged it. But coming in 2015, it now seems to critics like too little, too late – a decision that will still allow for discrimination on religious grounds.

“Our position has been and remains clear – we continue to urge the Boy Scouts of America to embrace full LGBT inclusion, without exception,” says Liz Halloran, a spokeswoman for the Human Rights Campaign, which fights for gay rights, via an e-mail.

From "LDS Church relationship with Boy Scouts in doubt, may create new international program" by Ben Lockhart, Deseret News 7/27/15

"The church has always welcomed all boys to its Scouting units regardless of sexual orientation," church spokesman Eric Hawkins said in a prepared statement. "However, the admission of openly gay leaders is inconsistent with the doctrines of the church and what have traditionally been the values of the Boy Scouts of America.”

Hawkins also confirmed the church is considering the possibility of creating an international program similar to Scouting and also made for young men ages 12 to 18.

"As a global organization with members in 170 countries, the church has long been evaluating the limitations that fully one-half of its youth face where Scouting is not available," he said. "Those worldwide needs combined with this vote by the BSA National Executive Board will be carefully reviewed by the leaders of the church in the weeks ahead."

The Catholic Church, another large charter organization with the Boy Scouts, did not offer a formal response to the vote Monday.

Bishops Investigate Girl Scouts' Sexualization

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has intensified its years-long inquiry into numerous accusations and mounting evidence that the Girl Scouts of America encourages its leaders to indoctrinate girls with the liberal culture of sexual immorality, abortion, and homosexual behavior.
"The leadership of the Girl Scouts is reflexively liberal. Their board is dominated by people whose views are antithetical to the teachings of the Catholic Church."
-- Mary Rice Hasson, Ethics and Public Policy Center

-- From "Catholic bishops continue to delve into concerns about Girl Scouts" by Carol Morello, Washington Post 5/10/12

In a letter dated March 28, the head of the bishops committee that has been looking into concerns about the Girl Scouts said . . . that “important questions still remain and need to be examined.”

Critics of the Girl Scouts contend their materials shouldn’t have any links to groups like the Sierra Club, Doctors Without Borders and Oxfam, or other groups that support family planning and contraception. Other critics are unhappy that the American Girl Scouting organization is a member of an international scouting association that supports contraception access.

For the past two years, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has had its Committee on Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth ask the Girl Scouts to explain their stances and materials.

From "Girl Scouts under scrutiny from Catholic bishops" by David Crary, Associated Press 5/10/12

The new inquiry will be conducted by the bishops' Committee on Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth. It will look into the Scouts' "possible problematic relationships with other organizations" and various "problematic" program materials, according to a letter sent by the committee chairman, Bishop Kevin Rhoades of Fort Wayne, Ind., to his fellow bishops.

One of the long-running concerns is the Girl Scouts' membership in the 145-nation World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.

The association, known as WAGGGS, is on record as saying girls and young women "need an environment where they can freely and openly discuss issues of sex and sexuality." It also has called for increased access to condoms to protect against sexually transmitted diseases.

In 1993, Christian conservatives were outraged when the Girl Scouts formalized a policy allowing girls to substitute another word for "God" — such as Allah or Buddha — in the Girl Scout promise that reads: "On my honor, I will try to serve God and my country."

From "Controversy continues as Girl Scouts celebrate 100 years" by Michelle Bauman, Catholic News Agency 5/11/12

In 2010, two teenage girls who had spent eight years in Girl Scouts left the organization and created Speak Now: Girl Scouts, a website dedicated to raising awareness about the problems they discovered within the organization.

The two young teens – Tess and Sydney – said that it had become “increasingly apparent” that the Girl Scouts organization had values that were incompatible with their own.

Recent years have also brought significant growth for the Little Flowers Girls' Club, a Catholic program for girls aimed at promoting virtue by exploring saints, Scripture and the Catechism.

Started in 1993 by a Catholic mom of 11, Little Flowers now has some 50 registered groups throughout the U.S. and Canada, although registration is optional, as the groups are run at the local level.

From "Bishops to Investigate Girl Scouts’ Planned Parenthood Ties" by Steven Ertelt, LifeNews.com 5/10/12

. . . in a national survey, seventeen Girl Scouts councils admit to partnering with Planned Parenthood; many other councils refuse to answer the survey question. Of the 315 Girl Scout councils in the U.S., 17 councils reported having a relationship with Planned Parenthood and its affiliates, and 49 reported they do not. The other 249 refused to disclose any relationship.

For fourteen years, the Girls Scouts in Waco, TX co-sponsored a sex ed conference with Planned Parenthood. “It’s Perfectly Normal” a book written by a Planned Parenthood executive was given to all children in attendance says abortion can be “a positive experience.” And in January 2012, Girl Scouts employee Renise Rodriguez wore a “Pray to End Abortion” t-shirt during off-duty visit to her Tucson Girl Scout office and was ordered . . . to turn the shirt inside out or leave.

With a sizable number of pro-life advocates distrusting the Girl Scouts because of the various links to Planned Parenthood over the years, any investigation that turns up more damning evidence could make it even more difficult for the Girl Scouts to become a trusted commodity in the minds of many Americans

Indiana Lawmaker: Girl Scouts Pro-gay & Abortion

Indiana state Rep. Bob Morris is being ridiculed by liberals and fellow Republicans for his vocal Christian discernment of the Girl Scouts of America regarding his own daughters. He has refused to sign on to legislation honoring the organization.

Mainstream journalists, who are entirely ignorant of the facts of the liberal take-over of the Girl Scouts, are literally laughing at the lawmaker's position.

-- From "Indiana lawmaker Bob Morris: Girl Scouts promote abortion, homosexuality" by The Associated Press 2/22/12

The scouts and Planned Parenthood have dismissed Rep. Bob Morris’ comments as absurd, as did Republican House Speaker Brian Bosma. But Morris, a Republican, told The Associated Press his critics need to do more research into the 100-year-old scouting organization.

“My family and I took a view and we’re sticking by it,” Morris said Tuesday, adding that his daughters were joining an alternative group for young girls run by conservative Christians. “My girls are no longer Girl Scouts. They’re now going to join American Heritage Girls.”

Morris’ comments were the butt of jokes inside the House on Tuesday, with Bosma spending much of the day handing out Thin Mints to lawmakers. He joked that Morris’ comments led him to buy hundreds of cases of the famous Girl Scout cookies.

Morris, in his letter to lawmakers, said some Christian conservatives who share his concerns have pulled their children out of Girl Scouts. He also pointed to a Colorado Girl Scout troop’s acceptance of a transgender child last month as another reason to leave the group.

From "Indiana Republican Rips Girl Scouts" by ABC News 2/22/12

In a letter to his Republican colleagues at the Indiana statehouse, first obtained by the Journal-Gazette of Fort Wayne, Morris called the group a “radicalized organization” that backs abortion and promotes the “homosexual lifestyle.” Of the 50 role models that Girl Scouts study, Morris argued that, “only three have a briefly mentioned religious background; all the rest are feminists, lesbians or communists.”

Morris, who said he had done, “a small amount of Web-based research” on the matter, claimed that, “the agenda of Planned Parenthood includes sexualizing young girls through the Girl Scouts, which is quickly becoming a tactical arm of Planned Parenthood.”

Morris has two daughters who are part of the group but, he said, he sought out a specific troop for them that is anti-abortion. The organization overall, he wrote in his letter, “has been subverted in the name of liberal progressive politics and the destruction of traditional American family values.”

The married father of six and Indiana University graduate is the owner and founder of a chain of retail stores called Healthkick Nutrition Centers.

Asked why he thinks the Girl Scouts support abortion, Morris said people should "get on the Internet, do some research, contact the Girl Scouts of America on a national level and ask them that question."

"They're not against it. If you're not against it, you're for it."

Sexually Confused Boy Becomes Girl Scout, Media Hit

The Girl Scouts of Colorado have embraced a 7-year-old boy as a girl scout because he is “living life as a girl,” this after having been rejected just a few weeks earlier. The change of heart came after the boy's mother enlisted the media to lambast the organization for rejecting her "transgendered" child.
"Girl Scouts is an inclusive organization . . . If a child identifies as a girl and the child's family presents her as a girl, Girl Scouts of Colorado welcomes her as a Girl Scout."
-- Rachelle Trujillo, Communications VP, Girl Scouts of Colorado
For background, read Pro-abortion, Girl Scouts' Appeal Diminishes and also read Toddler Says He's a Girl, 'Parents' Say OK as well as ABC News: Boy Decides He's a Girl, Age 10

-- From "Girl Scouts of Colorado welcomes boy -- if he thinks he's a girl" by Deborah Netburn, Los Angeles Times 10/28/11

[7-year-old Bobby Montoya] asked his mother to sign him up for a Girl Scout troop near his Colorado home.

The troop leader said no. So Bobby's mom, Felisha Archuleta, went to the media -- telling a local television station that her son has loved "girl stuff" since he was 2, and that the troop leader's decision to reject him had left him devastated.

But in fact, Girl Scouts of Colorado does allow people with boy parts to join its troops, as long as the child is truly transgendered -- meaning the child identifies as a girl, and the family identifies the child as a girl.

"The troop leader in this case was confused because the mom was confused," Trujillo said. "She did not say, 'This is my daughter.' She said, 'This is my son and he wants to be in Girl Scouts,' and we don't accept boys in Girl Scouts."

[The boy's mother Felisha] Archuleta has supported Bobby in letting him dress and behave as he likes, telling ABC News, "I believe he was born in the wrong body." She even threw him a Rapunzel-themed party for his seventh birthday.

But what Bobby really wanted was to join the Girl Scouts, just like his older sister.

While there are no exact statistics on how many children experience gender-identity issues, according to the [radical-left] nonprofit Gender Spectrum, individuals become conscious of their sex between the ages of 18 months and 3 years, which is why many children who experience gender confusion say they've felt that way for as long as they can remember. And despite differing opinions on the subject, Gender Spectrum notes that gender confusion is not caused by anything and is not curable. Research has shown that gender is to an extent "hardwired" in the brain from birth.

Dr. Keith Ablow, a psychiatrist and part of Fox News' Medical A-Team -- while prefacing himself by saying, "I know a lot of experts will disagree with me" -- cautioned the Girl Scouts against welcoming boys who present themselves as girls until more data is available on any potential harm it could do.

“On the face of it, it seems to be expecting far too much psychologically of young girls to ignore the anatomy of a boy and act as though he is a girl," Ablow said. "The girls are just developing comfort with their own bodies, after all.”

He, too, called it a "form of abuse."

"This is all [putting] the cart before the horse. We're conducting social, cultural, sexual experiments on the fly, using our own kids as guinea pigs, without the necessary research to guide us," he said.

Pro-abortion, Girl Scouts' Appeal Diminishes

Many Christian parents are reporting that the Girl Scout's affiliation with “Planned Parenthood” is not something that they want their children involved with, and have now begun removing their daughters from the organization.

-- From "Children Leaving Girl Scouts Due to 'Planned Parenthood' Affiliations" by Fionna Agomuoh, Christian Post Contributor 8/18/11

In recent years, it has become more apparent to many Girl Scouts and their parents that the wholesome values that the organization claims to stand behind may not be as wholesome as expected. In response, they are favoring several faith-based girl empowerment organizations that have been founded as alternatives to the Girl Scouts.

Patti Garibay, founder of the American Heritage Girls, a non-denominational female scout program notes that countless American Heritage Girls were once Girl Scouts who left the organization due to conflicts with their faith and beliefs.

Another budding girls group is the Little Flowers Girls' Club. Geared toward home-schooled Catholic girls, the club has been growing by 2,000 members a year.

Pioneer Girls and GEMS Girls' Clubs, are also both organizations that focus on Christ-centered and faith-based life skills and character building.

Proof of the strong links [to Planned Parenthood] can be found by looking no further than the statements of Girl Scout CEO Kathy Cloninger, who told NBC's "Today" show in an interview in 2004: "We partner with many organizations. We have relationships with our church communities, with YWCAs, and with Planned Parenthood organizations across the country, to bring information-based sex education programs to girls."

There's additional documentation in printed materials provided by the Girl Scouts, although the statement from Cloninger remains sufficient for many parents. It comes on the heels of WND's exposure of Girl Scouts' promotion of lesbian causes.

Concerned Women for America . . . President Wendy Wright has documented the relationship between Girls Scouts and Planned Parenthood.

"These groups work together to steal children's innocence and make them vulnerable to the negative consequences of promiscuity thereby creating clients for their abortion and STD services," said Wright.

One link between Girl Scouts USA and pro-abortion causes that can be easily verified is the connection to the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, or WAGGGS. Each Girl Scout is automatically a member of WAGGGS due to shared funding and activities. The WAGGGS website shows support for a campaign involving "sexual and reproductive health services" such as "emergency contraception in order to avoid unintended pregnancies and accessible, affordable and safe abortions."

Girl Scouts Advocate Guide Teaching Sex Acts?

"Many people think sex is just about vaginal or anal intercourse. But, there are lots of different ways to have sex and lots of different types of sex. There is no right or wrong way to have sex."

-- From "RUSE: The Girl Scout Sex Guide" by Austin Ruse, Washington Times 3/18/10

Sharon Slater, a mother of seven, innocently walked into a panel sponsored by the Girl Scouts USA at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women a few weeks ago. Almost immediately she was asked to leave. All non-Scout adults were kicked out of the room, which was packed with adolescent girls.

Her curiosity piqued, Slater lingered by the door and when the panel ended she went immediately back inside to look around. What she found has shocked her and shocked Girl Scout moms around the country. Slater found a stack of brochures produced by Planned Parenthood called "Healthy, Happy and Hot" that among other things explained to the girls, "Some people have sex when they have been drinking or using drugs. That is your choice."

But it gets worse. The sex guide explains, "Many people think sex is just about vaginal or anal intercourse. But there are lots of different ways to have sex and lots of different types of sex. Sex can include kissing, touching, licking, tickling, sucking and cuddling. Some people like to have aggressive sex, while others like to have soft sex and slow sex with their partners. There is no right or wrong way to have sex. Just have fun, explore and be yourself!" It tells girls to explore the prostate. Remember, this was distributed in a panel for adolescent girls.

Besides advice about the prostate, the brochure, subtitled "Rights, Sexuality and Living with HIV," also gives incorrect and even dangerous information about rights and responsibilities. It tells the kids that, "sexual and reproductive rights are recognized around the world." Sexual rights are hardly recognized around the world. They are not even recognized here in the sexual paradise of the United States. The brochure tells the kids that their rights are violated when governments require them to tell their HIV status to their sex partners.

At the same UN meeting, which ended last Friday, the World Association of Girl Scouts and Girl Guides produced a document saying young women "demand their sexual and reproductive rights including access to comprehensive sexuality education, and sexual and reproductive services including contraception and emergency contraception, in order to avoid unintended pregnancies" and also called for access to "safe abortion."

From "Girl Scouts hiding secret sex agenda?" by Drew Zahn © 2010 WorldNet Daily 3/19/10

The Girl Scouts organization . . . has issued a denial statement, distancing itself from any involvement in "family planning," despite clear evidence to the contrary.

Slater further told WND the brochures appeared again a few days later at a panel discussion for the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, or WAGGGS, of which Girl Scouts of the USA is a member organization.

"I had team of 30 volunteers monitoring meetings, and I sent two volunteers to another event in the same building by WAGGGS, " Slater told WND. "The packets were on their table also; our volunteers picked up a copy."

Included in the rights, services and supplies "demanded" by the group were the following, according to the WAGGGS website:
* All young people must have access to comprehensive sexuality education and sexual and reproductive health services, including contraception and emergency contraception, in order to avoid unintended pregnancies.

* Accessible, affordable and safe abortions should be made part of the minimum packages of sexual and reproductive health services.

* All young people should have access to psycho-social health services for prevention of gender-based violence and violence against women.
And despite claiming to "not take a position on family planning," national Girl Scouts leaders have admitted in the past to widespread partnerships with organizations like Planned Parenthood.
