Girls College to Expel Student for 'Becoming Male?'

North Carolina's Salem College, the oldest girls college in America, has become trapped between its own tradition and the "higher education" ideology that gender is fluid across a spectrum (male/female is not fixed):  Should a currently-enrolled female student who claims to be transgender (now a man) be allowed to remain a student?

Several women’s colleges across the country have adopted policies concerning transgender students, said Harper Jane Tobin, the director of policy at the National Center for Transgender Equality in Washington, D.C. Some colleges, such as Salem, don’t have a policy, Tobin and Blixt said.
