Media Embrace Science Lies, Reject Science Truth

A tale of two advertising campaigns . . .

While TV and myriad other forms of media embrace an ad depicting a prenatal ultrasound examination proclaiming the unborn is a lesbian (a scientific impossibility), the largest print media reject an ad showing a living baby after twenty weeks gestation because it promotes
pro-life legislation against late-term abortion.

The Australian commercial was created to promote awareness of and support for gay marriage . . . There is also a similar billboard that features the tagline, "Congratulations, you're having a lesbian."

The campaign was thought up by Steve Minon, a freelance advertising creative director, according to "It is designed to get people thinking, and challenge them a little," he told the paper. "We're trying to point out to any family that marriage equality can be your number one priority, without your knowing about it."

Lawmakers in Australia voted against a bill to legalize same-sex marriage last September. Neighboring country New Zealand legalized same-sex marriage earlier this year

This is a common message purported continually by homosexual activists. If one is born gay then there is no question of whether homosexuality is moral or not. Instead, behavior and choice are replaced with a morally neutral sexual orientation. This perspective ignores common patterns that lead to the formation of a homosexual identity. Additionally, progressive myth that homosexuality has a genetic root lacks scientific evidence, but this is ignored because it is essential to their message.

Although unable to provide clear answers to their message regarding gays at birth, the homosexual rights movement has dominated the public arena. Media, entertainment, much of corporate America, the educational system, and many high profile politicians have effectively begun to change the hearts and minds of Americans.

From "Major Newspapers Turn Down Pro-Life Ad, Baby Image 'Too Controversial'" by Randy Hall, NewsBusters 7/6/13

. . . three major papers -- USA Today, the Los Angeles Times and the Chicago Tribune -- rejected an ad from a pro-life organization that showed an infant at roughly 20 weeks' gestation because it's “too controversial.”

Heroic Media, a non-profit organization whose mission “is to educate the public in general and reach women facing unplanned pregnancies with life-affirming alternatives through the use of mass media, such as television commercials, Internet outreach, and billboards, expressed outrage that the newspapers were willing to talk about the issue but not to show the reality of life at 20 weeks.”

The ad was produced a week after the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which “prevents an abortionist from performing an abortion at or after 20 weeks, based on empirical scientific medical evidence that proves that unborn babies can feel pain.”

Heroic Media Executive Director Joe Young said he was shocked and angered that the media outlets were willing to talk about the issue but were unwilling to show the reality of life at 20 weeks.

“I am disturbed that these papers would run article after article promoting the notion that abortion is a victimless act without consequences,” Young said. “The fact remains, children who are unique individuals – never again to be duplicated – are being killed in the most violent way imaginable and they feel the excruciating pain of that death.”
