Pres. Obama's Homosexual Christmas Proclamation

This year, President Obama issued statements during Christmas week to celebrate the "Christmas miracles" of same-sex "marriage" and a transformed U.S. military that proudly includes homosexuals and other people suffering sexual confusion, while he asks for God's blessing in his war against Biblical values that he wages along with his fellow sexual revolutionaries.

. . . Mr. Obama promised in a corresponding Facebook post that he would spend the remainder of his presidency looking for ways to combat discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans.

He said he would “spend every minute I have left as president working with you to move our country even closer to our founding ideals.”

Mr. Obama’s victory lap on the “don’t ask, don’t tell” anniversary came amid criticism from some Republicans and conservatives that he has not done enough to support the military. . . . “Obama Goes Golfing After Terrorism Attack in Afghanistan Kills Six American Solders,” the conservative website Breitbart declared in a headline.

Codify More 'Gay Rights:' Hillary, Biden Promise

Democrats Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden competed Saturday for endorsements in speeches before the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), America's largest homosexual activist group, whose co-founder was arrested for anal sex with a boy.  If elected president, Hillary promised to change the Civil Rights Act of 1964 via a Federal Equality Act to provide even more "gay rights."  Biden said that the military must eliminate restrictions that limit full inclusion of mentally ill sexual deviants.
“The American people are already with you. . . . There are homophobes still left. Most of them are running for president, I think.”

The vice president spoke to 3,500 LGBT activists and leaders in a cavernous subterranean ballroom at the Washington Convention Center for the annual Human Rights Campaign dinner, a speaking gig Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton turned down in order to appear on “Saturday Night Live,” The New York Times reported.

Biden is close to deciding on a 2016 presidential bid against Clinton, and the LGBT community is an important constituency for any Democrat eyeing the White House. He contrasted with the former secretary of state at one point on Saturday, telling gay rights activists that equality would come easily now — even though just hours before Clinton had warned the same group that further change would be difficult.

Though Clinton gave up the keynote spot to the vice president, she addressed the group’s breakfast meeting early Saturday instead, giving the first speech of her 2016 campaign exclusively focused on LGBT rights. She thanked the Human Rights Campaign for helping “change a lot of minds, including mine” on marriage equality.

On policy, Clinton and Biden lined up almost perfectly. They both called for a new focus on transgender rights and working to expand LGBT rights abroad. They identified the same three specific domestic policy goals: A federal equality act that would extend civil rights protections to LGBT Americans, allowing trans people serve in the military, and upgrading to “honorable discharge” the status of service members who were kicked out of the military under Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.

From "Biden: No Question That Transgenders Can Serve in U.S. Military" by Josh Lederman, Associated Press 10/4/15

Biden's declaration at the Human Rights Campaign's annual dinner Saturday [at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington, D.C.] goes further than anything the Obama administration has said before, evoking memories of when Biden outpaced President Barack Obama in endorsing gay marriage. Although the White House says Obama supports a Pentagon review aimed at ending the transgender ban, neither Obama nor the military has said definitively that the policy will be changed.

"No longer is there any question transgender people are able to serve in the United States military," Biden told a crowd of 3,000 gay rights activists at the group's star-studded gala.

Biden, who is considering running for president, declared transgender rights to be "the civil rights issue of our time" as he delivered the keynote speech, just hours after Hillary Rodham Clinton — his top rival if he enters the race — gave a rousing address elevating LGBT rights as a main pillar of 2016 bid. Biden said gays and lesbians shouldn't fear "those shrill voices" trying to undo gay marriage and other advances because Americans "have moved so far beyond them and their appeals to prejudice and fear and homophobia."

From "Hillary Clinton Promotes Gay Rights As Pillar Of 2016 Bid" by Lisa Lerer, Associated Press 10/4/15

"I see the injustices and the dangers that you and your families still face," [Hillary] told hundreds of gay activists at the annual meeting of the Human Rights Campaign. "I'm running for president to stand up for the fundamental rights of LGBT Americans."

Clinton, in her appearance, said she has been "fighting alongside you and others for equal rights and I'm just getting warmed up."

The statement marked a remarkable evolution for Clinton, who opposed same-sex marriage for more than two decades in public life as first lady, senator and presidential candidate. As recently as this year, Clinton said that while she personally supported gay marriage, the issue was best left for states to decide —a position held by most of the Republican presidential field.

Since then, Clinton has placed equal rights at the forefront of her campaign, in part a reflection of the growing political and financial strength of the gay community in Democratic politics.

Hillary Clinton pledged Saturday to champion new federal laws banning discrimination against gays and lesbians and warned that Republican presidential candidates will try to undo a Supreme Court ruling on marriage equality, among other protections, if elected.

Republicans running for president would enact policies that will discriminate against and hurt gays and lesbians and their families, she said. Progress on equal rights "can be undone," Clinton told the annual gala of the Human Rights Campaign, the largest activist group working for gay rights.

Clinton also pledged to press a new generation of laws to protect the gay and lesbian community, including penalties on child welfare agencies that discriminate against them, nondiscrimination protections in the military for transgender individuals and laws to help prevent violence against transgender people, many of whom are female minorities.

“Joey, they’re in love with each other. So Few Transgenders in Military, Costs Negligible

A newly-published study by homosexual advocates, funded by the Pentagon, estimates that only 188 of the 2,136,779 Active and Selected Reserve personnel currently serving — less than a hundredth of one percent — will be in need of medical treatment annually for sexual confusion.  However, as President Obama was forcing acceptance of his transformed, Gay Agenda military, claims were made of several tens of thousands of transgenders secretly serving.

The cost to provide transition-related care to transgender people serving in the military will be “too low to warrant consideration in the current policy debate,” a new report published in The New England Journal of Medicine found.

Dr. Aaron Belkin, founding director of the Palm Center, a research institute that’s focused on LGBT issues, estimates the cost of offering transition-related care will amount to $5.6 million annually, or 22 cents per transgender service member per month.

Defense Secretary Ashton Carter announced last month that the military would be lifting its ban on transgender service members. . . .

From "U.S. military's transgender care costs 'negligible,' study says" by Joseph D'Urso, Thomson Reuters Foundation 8/13/15

The sum amounts to just 22 cents per service member per month, said Aaron Belkin, an academic at San Francisco State University, adding that the military's annual healthcare budget is currently $47.8 billion.

Last month, defense chief Ash Carter backed the admission to the U.S. military of openly transgender people for the first time, setting up a working group to study the issue "with the presumption that transgender persons can serve openly without adverse impact".

Some criticized Carter's decision. "I'm not sure how paying for transgender surgery for soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines makes our country safer," Mike Huckabee, a presidential candidate, said in the first Republican debate last Thursday.

By estimating how many closeted transgender people currently serve in the military, and looking at what has happened in Australia, which already funds transition-related care, Belkin predicts around 188 service members would get care annually.

Gay Agenda Destroys Everything it Contacts

Let's review the effects of the Gay Agenda:  sharp rise in STDs (not only HIV/AIDS) mostly associated with anal sex; exploding rates of transgender delusion (even among children) resulting in more suicides; lower marriage rates and kids raised without their mother or father; the demise of (gay-affirming) mainline church denominations; weakening of the once-strongest force for good in the world (U.S. military); public education transformed to indoctrination and social experimentation; demise of the Girl Scouts (after lesbian leaders took over) . . .

and now, the end of the Boy Scouts of America.

-- From "Boy Scouts OK gay leaders; Mormon church may quit" by Erik Eckholm, The New York Times 7/28/15

The Boy Scouts of America on Monday ended its nationwide ban on openly gay adult leaders. But despite a compromise allowing conservative church-sponsored units to pick their own volunteer leaders, the Mormon church, the country’s largest sponsor of Scout units, said it might leave the organization.

To avoid the wholesale defection of conservative religious groups, the Boy Scouts said church-based local units would remain free to exclude gay adults from voluntary leadership roles like scoutmasters and Cub Scout den and pack leaders.

Mormons use the Boy Scouts as their main nonreligious activity for boys, and the Cub Scout and Boy Scout units they sponsor accounted for 17 percent of all youths in Scouting in 2013, the last year for which data have been published.

Under the Boy Scout policy adopted Monday, discrimination based on sexual orientation will also be barred in all Boy Scout offices and for all paid jobs — a step that could head off looming lawsuits in New York, Colorado and other states that prohibit such discrimination in employment.

From "Are lawsuits ahead for church-based Boy Scout troops?" by Adelle M. Banks, Religion News Service (Washington Post) 7/27/15

. . . Scout officials say religious groups — which make up some 70 percent of chartered organizations — would still have the option to exclude gays even [with the new policy as] adopted.

“What they’re not taking into account is the new frontier that we’re on, where judges are being social change agents,” said John Stemberger, chairman of Trail Life USA, which bills itself as a Christian alternative to the Boy Scouts.

Trail Life issued its own eight-page legal memo, written by a former BSA lawyer who is now Trail Life’s general counsel.

“The church-chartered troop will likely be sued the moment it tries to revoke the membership of the homosexual member who wears his uniform to the Gay Pride Parade, revokes or denies membership to an adult who publicly gets married to someone of the same sex, or denies membership to the girl who believes she is actually a male,” the Trail Life memo reads.

From "Why Boy Scouts stance on gay leaders leaves it in limbo" by Amanda Paulson, Staff Writer, Christian Science Monitor 7/27/15

“You’ve got a highly divided organization,” says Richard Ellis, a political science professor at Willamette University in Salem, Ore., and the author of “Judging the Boy Scouts of America.” “Now it’s not clear that even this solution, which is an attempt to get the [gay rights] issue out of the way, can do it, because nobody is happy with it.”

. . . Some 70 percent of Boy Scout troops are now run by faith-based groups. By the time the BSA considered changing its ban on gay Scout leaders in 2013, it polled its membership and got incredible pushback, Ellis says. Nearly all the councils in the Northeast wanted the anti-gay policy changed, while 80 percent of the Southern councils wanted it to stay the same. The organization worried about an exodus of members. In the end, it decided to go with lifting the ban on gay youths, but not gay adults.

A BSA decision to lift the ban on gay adults but still leave hiring decisions to the discretion of local religious-based organizations affiliated with troops might have seemed progressive if the Scouts had taken that stance 25 years ago, when many first urged it. But coming in 2015, it now seems to critics like too little, too late – a decision that will still allow for discrimination on religious grounds.

“Our position has been and remains clear – we continue to urge the Boy Scouts of America to embrace full LGBT inclusion, without exception,” says Liz Halloran, a spokeswoman for the Human Rights Campaign, which fights for gay rights, via an e-mail.

From "LDS Church relationship with Boy Scouts in doubt, may create new international program" by Ben Lockhart, Deseret News 7/27/15

"The church has always welcomed all boys to its Scouting units regardless of sexual orientation," church spokesman Eric Hawkins said in a prepared statement. "However, the admission of openly gay leaders is inconsistent with the doctrines of the church and what have traditionally been the values of the Boy Scouts of America.”

Hawkins also confirmed the church is considering the possibility of creating an international program similar to Scouting and also made for young men ages 12 to 18.

"As a global organization with members in 170 countries, the church has long been evaluating the limitations that fully one-half of its youth face where Scouting is not available," he said. "Those worldwide needs combined with this vote by the BSA National Executive Board will be carefully reviewed by the leaders of the church in the weeks ahead."

The Catholic Church, another large charter organization with the Boy Scouts, did not offer a formal response to the vote Monday.

Sex Assault in Obama's Military Mostly Homosexual

While mainstream media focus on sexual assault of women in the military, President Obama's new secretary of defense Ashton Carter is pointing out that most victims are military men — commonly of anal sex assault and/or forced oral sex, according to a recent study.

By definition, male-on-male anal/oral sex is homosexual behavior.

Carter added that "too few" men reported the incidents as sexual assault.

From "Experts: Males Also Are Victims of Sexual Assault" by Jim Garamone, DoD News, Defense Media Activity 2/20/15

Experts urged Army leaders to reach out to male victims of sexual assault, noting people should not view sexual violence as a crime perpetrated exclusively against women.

Jim Hopper, a psychologist and researcher, and Russell Strand, a retired Criminal Investigative Service special agent, spoke about an aspect of sexual violence not often discussed: sexual assaults on men.

So about 87 percent of men attacked are not reporting it and “these are real men in real pain,” Hopper said. The pain is compounded by shame. Being sexually assaulted brings additional feelings of shame to a man because it works against the ideal of what it means to be a man, he said.

They are also afraid of their friends or teammates finding out what happened to them, he said. They believe they will be looked at as less than a man, that they will be ostracized and shunned. And, many victims see the assault as the death-knell to their careers.

From "Federal watchdog: DOD slow in addressing sexual assault of men" by Wyatt Olson, Stars and Stripes 3/19/15

Although the Department of Defense has taken numerous steps to address sexual assaults of servicemembers in general, it still doesn’t have a clear plan for responding specifically to attacks on men, the Government Accountability Office said in a report released Thursday.

. . . A Rand Corp. survey last year estimated 9,000 to 13,000 active-duty men were sexually assaulted during the year prior to the survey. About 2,500 to 5,500 of those were described as “penetrative” sexual assaults.

The DOD has implemented a “gender-neutral” program for preventing and responding to the problem of sexual assault, an approach that does not take into consideration the significantly lower rates of reporting assault by men compared with women.

The difference in reporting “suggest that male victims of sexual assault may not have a similar level of confidence as do female victims in the process of reporting a sexual assault within the department,” the GAO said.

The Liberty Institute says Chaplain Wes Modder (MAH’-der), an ordained Assemblies of God minister, has received decorations and was called “the best of the best” by the commander [Capt. Jon R. Fahs] now seeking to administer discipline. Modder is based at South Carolina’s U.S. Navy Joint Base Charleston Goose Creek.

Liberty Institute attorney Mike Berry says the range of punishment Modder faces could be career ending. Modder is eligible for a 20-year retirement in September.

According to Berry, the Navy has requested that Modder be barred from promotion, fired from his job as chaplain, and brought before a military Board of Inquiry, where he could be forced out of the Navy.

. . . in December, Equal Opportunity representatives paid Modder a visit, delivering a five-page complaint, which detailed concerns about Modder’s views on marriage, pre-marital sex and masturbation, among other things. Modder was immediately removed from duties, with no defense allowed.

Berry has decided to take up the case and represent the chaplain. Both believe the charges are bogus, and in fact, Berry stated that the officer who accused Modder may be held criminally liable for making false statements and abusing his position.

The whole debacle reminded Modder of an incident which occurred when he first arrived at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in South Carolina and was preparing to deliver a speech at a graduation ceremony.

According to Modder, the captain quickly pulled him aside, “looked at [him] and said, ‘Hey chaplain – do not pray in Jesus’ name.’”

“On multiple occasions he discriminated against students who were of different faiths and backgrounds,” the Chaplain’s commanding Officer Capt. Jon R. Fahs wrote in a memorandum obtained by Fox News.

“They want chaplains to be glorified summer camp counselors and not speak truth and love into people’s lives,” Berry told me. “There are some anti-religious elements in our military. Anytime somebody wants to live their faith out – there are people who say that is offensive.”

Modder said the young officer [spy] had only been working with him for about a month and would constantly pepper him with questions pertaining to homosexuality. He had no idea that the officer was in fact gay – and married to another man.

“His five page letter of complaint was unconscionable,” Modder said. “He said I had a behavioral pattern of being anti-discriminatory of same sex orientation.”

“I believe some of what the lieutenant [spy] has alleged could constitute a military crime – false statements – taking what the chaplain said and twisting or misconstruing it – in an attempt to get the chaplain punished,” [Berry] said. “He abused the position he was placed in as a chaplain’s assistant.”

He believes the officer may have gained access to private counseling file[s].

. . . The Navy has requested that Modder be barred from promotion, fired from his job as chaplain, and brought before a military Board of Inquiry, where he could be forced out of the Navy. Modder is only months away from his twentieth anniversary of active military service.

Modder previously served as the Force chaplain for Naval Special Warfare Command. He has deployed overseas multiple times during the War on Terror, including in support of DEVGRU and other SEAL teams in high-profile operations around the globe. He has received the highest possible ratings by his former commanders, who have commanded DEVGRU, SEAL Teams, and Naval Special Warfare Command.

In its response letter, Liberty Institute attorneys assert that censoring Chaplain Modder's religious expression is unconstitutional religious discrimination. They note that federal law and military regulations forbid the Navy from punishing a chaplain because they act according to their faith. Liberty Institute also requests that the Navy allow Chaplain Modder to return to serving his sailors according to his faith.

The update — to Defense Department Instruction 1332.18, Disability Evaluation System — provides a loophole for the services to let transgender troops serve instead of requiring administrative separation, the Palm Center says.

The old policy listed transgender identity as a "congenital or developmental defect" that mandated administrative separation.

The instruction issued Aug. 5 drops that provision, which the activists, including three retired flag or general officers, representatives from the ACLU, the Transgender American Veterans Association and others, say means the services now can discharge individuals with perceived defects only if those defects interfere with their performance or duty assignment.

A March 2014 report from the Transgender Military Service Commission estimates that nearly 15,500 transgender individuals serve in uniform across all branches.

From "Transgender troops say they want to serve openly" by Patricia Kime, Staff Writer, Military Times 10/24/14

[Traditionally,] Transgenders are barred from serving openly in the U.S. military by Defense Department Instruction 6130.03, which prohibits people with "current or history of psychosexual conditions, including but not limited to transexualism, exhibitionism, transvestism, voyeurism and other paraphilias."

But transgender service members who spoke at "Perspectives on Transgender Military Service from Around the Globe," sponsored by the American Civil Liberties Union and the Palm Center, a California-based policy think tank, say sexual identity is neither a mental nor physical barrier to serving.

In late 2012, the American Psychiatric Association approved a revision to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual that eliminated the term "gender identity disorder" in favor of "gender dysphoria" to describe men and women whose biological sex conflicts with the gender in which they identify.

The drop of the word "disorder" is seen by many as an acknowledgment that the condition is not pathological, and any distress or anxiety associated with gender identification issues may be related to the angst of living in a body one doesn't believe is gender-correct and outside stressors related to the stigma of falling outside gender norms.

From "Retired US generals come out in support of allowing transgender soldiers to serve openly in military" by Robert Rizzuto, The Republican (Springfield, Mass.) 8/26/14

The three retired generals are Major General Gale S. Pollock, former acting Surgeon General of the US Army; Brigadier General Clara Adams-Ender, former Chief of the US Army Nurse Corps; and Brigadier General Thomas A. Kolditz, a Yale University professor and Professor Emeritus at the US Military Academy at West Point. They note Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel's statements in May that he is open to reviewing the military's ban on transgender service members.

"We spent three months serving on a research commission that investigated administrative aspects of transgender military service, with a view toward maintaining readiness and alignment with core military values of dignity and respect. Today, our commission releases a report, which focuses on how to implement inclusive policy in allowing transgender Americans to serve their country," the three retired generals said in a joint statement. "Our conclusion is that allowing transgender personnel to serve openly is administratively feasible and will not be burdensome or complicated. Three months have passed since Defense Secretary Hagel announced a willingness to review the military's ban on transgender service, an effort the White House indicated it supports. Our new report shows that implementation could proceed immediately and will be successful in its execution.”

Following Hagel's statements on the topic, the administration of President Barack Obama voiced support for such a review.

From "Will the Military Lift Its Ban on Transgender Troops?" by Tierney Sneed, U.S. News & World Report 10/22/14

Many people don’t realize that when Congress and President Barack Obama repealed the military’s ban on openly gay, lesbian and bisexual service members – a policy known as “don’t ask, don’t tell” – its prohibitions on transgender people openly serving remained in place. In fact, even members of the military are at times unaware of the ban, according to some panelists’ accounts of coming out.

But the pressure to change the policy appears poised to grow, as the broader transgender rights movement takes a more prominent societal role. . . .

The military’s transgender policy is embedded in medical regulations dating back to the outdated notion that gender nonconformity equated to mental illness . . .

Concerns have been raised about changes needed to be made to military protocols if the ban is lifted – from the specific health care needs of transgender people to the so-called shower question, or what would happen in scenarios that require non-transgender troops and their transgender colleagues to disrobe together.

Cross-dressing Soldiers Look Good to Pres. Obama

A sampling of media coverage of the military would suggest that the purpose of the American armed forces is not to defend the nation, but rather is to advance sexual immorality.  And now, if President Obama's Secretary of Defense chooses to enlist the ranks of the transgendered, sexual confusion will certainly reign in the once-greatest force for good on earth.
". . . every qualified American who wants to serve our country should have an opportunity if they fit the qualifications and can do it."
-- Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel
The "qualifications" are becoming more apparent every day!

-- From "Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel says military should review transgender ban" by The Associated Press 5/11/14

In 2010, Congress passed legislation allowing gays and lesbians to serve openly. Hagel said the issue of transgender serving in the military is more complicated. He said "these issues require medical attention" that at times cannot be provided in austere locations.

A transgender individual is someone who has acquired the physical characteristics of the opposite sex or presents themselves in a way that does not correspond with their sex at birth.

The National Center for Transgender Equality said it welcomed Hagel's comments, which were made on ABC's "This Week." The organization's executive director, Mara Keisling, said the regulations that disqualify transgender recruits and service members are based on outdated prejudices and stereotypes.

Unlike with the “don’t ask, don’t tell” law, which was repealed in 2011, Congress has passed no statute banning transgender service members, which means the policy can be changed without legislative approval. “We look forward to working with the Pentagon to end these outdated rules that harm our military,” Keisling said.

From "Hagel ‘Open’ to Reviewing Military’s Ban on Transgender People" by Helene Coppermay, New York Times 5/11/14

In the American military, transgender service members can be summarily dismissed, as Defense Department guidelines describe transgender people as sexual deviants and their condition as “paraphilia,” with its connotations of the atypical and extreme.

A panel affiliated with San Francisco State University estimated in March that more than 15,000 transgender individuals were [secretly] serving in the military and the National Guard and the Reserve. Officials who worked on that study say transgender people are overrepresented in the military, compared with the rest of America, because many male-to-female transgender individuals enlist to try to submerge their feminine sides, while many female-to-male transgender people enlist because they want to be in a hypermasculine environment.

It remains unclear whether the military will seriously review its ban on transgender people, and President Obama has not addressed the issue specifically. In 2011, speaking to a gay rights group, Mr. Obama said that “every single American — gay, straight, lesbian, bisexual, transgender — every single American deserves to be treated equally in the eyes of the law.”

From "Chuck Hagel: Military's Transgender Ban 'Should Be Reviewed'" by Mollie Reilly, The Huffington Post 5/11/14

Earlier this year, an independent commission led by former U.S. surgeon general Dr. Joycelyn Elders found there is no "compelling medical reason" for the ban.

"We determined not only that there is no compelling medical reason for the ban, but also that the ban itself is an expensive, damaging and unfair barrier to health care access for the approximately 15,450 transgender personnel who serve currently in the active, Guard and reserve components," read the commission's report.

From "LGBT Group to Obama: Sign Executive Order Opening Military to Transgenders" by Penny Starr, CNSNews.com 5/14/14

The report was compiled by what an “independent commission,” headed by former Clinton-era Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders, who was asked to step down after recommending schools teach children about masturbation as a way to avoid spreading AIDS, according to the Associated Press.

The report compared sex-change surgery and other treatments transgenders undergo to health care services that are routinely provided for all troops.

But Elaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness, an independent, nonpartisan public policy organization focused on military/social issues, told CNSNews.com that the Palm Center is an “LGBT advocacy group,” not an “independent commission” acting outside of the center and its purpose.

Founded in 1998 as the Center for the Study of Sexual Minorities in the Military, the group changed its name to the Palm Center in 2006 in recognition of a $1 million endowment from the Michael D. Palm Foundation.

She said the lobby for transgender military service is also driven by the idea that sex reassignment surgery, hormone therapy or other treatments would become a military benefit.

“The paramount goal is self-interest,” Donnelly said, adding that the change to military law would be “yet another social experiment.”

Obama to Generals: Back My Gay Military, or Resign

In a recently uncovered video, Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Robert Papp said that in 2010, President Obama summoned the commanders of all five branches of the military and gave them an ultimatum regarding the President's Gay Agenda for the military:
“We were called into the Oval Office and President Obama looked all five service chiefs in the eye and said, ‘This is what I want to do.’ I cannot divulge everything he said to us, that’s private communications within the Oval Office, but if we didn’t agree with it — if any of us didn’t agree with it — we all had the opportunity to resign our commissions and go do other things.”

In a video obtained by BuzzFeed via a Freedom of Information Act request, Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Robert Papp revealed that Obama was unwilling to compromise with service leaders over DADT [Don't Ask, Don't Tell] during a meeting in 2010. . . .

In a 2008 interview [see excerpts in next article below], then-Senator Obama told The Advocate that he wouldn’t make support of DADT “a litmus test” for his military leaders. “What I want are members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who are making decisions based on what strengthens our military and what is going to make us safer, not ideology.”

[Eleveld: Regarding] “don’t ask, don’t tell” real quick -- you’ve said before you don’t think that’s a heavy lift. Of course, it would be if you had Joint Chiefs who were against repeal. Is that something you’ll look at?

[President Obama:] I would never make this a litmus test for the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Obviously, there are so many issues that a member of the Joint Chiefs has to deal with, and my paramount obligation is to get the best possible people to keep America safe. But I think there’s increasing recognition within the Armed Forces that this is a counterproductive strategy -- ya know, we’re spending large sums of money to kick highly qualified gays or lesbians out of our military, some of whom possess specialties like Arab-language capabilities that we desperately need. That doesn’t make us more safe, and what I want are members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who are making decisions based on what strengthens our military and what is going to make us safer, not ideology.

Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Buzz Patterson, who served as a senior military aide to Clinton from 1996 to 1998, said, "[President] Clinton tried this same threat in the 1990s, but he ran into Colin Powell, who headed the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the time." The compromise that was created became DADT.

"I've heard from military contacts that President Obama did indeed make this threat," said Patterson, who said he would reach out to sources to verify Papp's claims.

Retired Lt. Col. Gordon Cucullu told LifeSiteNews that "if [Papp's statement is] true and verified, that's almost a form of command intimidation and blackmail, which seems very unprofessional to me."

Cucullu, who served in Vietnam and was a Green Beret, said there was an enormous difference between a president giving an ultimatum "us[ing] the military as a Petri dish for social experimentation" and "a critical aspect of national security."

Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas, told WND on Thursday, “Falls in line with his previous behavior that he’s above the law. He’s acting again like an imperial president.”

Retired Army Maj. Gen. Patrick Brady, a recipient of the U.S. military’s highest decoration, the Medal of Honor, told WND that Obama’s agenda is decimating the morale of the U.S. ranks to the point that members no longer feel prepared to fight or have the desire to win.

Not only are military service members being demoralized and the ranks’ overall readiness reduced by the Obama administration’s purge of key leaders, but colonels – who are lined up in rank to replace outgoing generals – are quietly taking their careers in other directions, sources confirm.

Retired Army Lt. Gen. William G. “Jerry” Boykin, who was a founding member of Delta Force and later deputy undersecretary of defense for intelligence under President George W. Bush, says it is worrying that four-star generals are being retired at the rate that has occurred under Obama.

From "Sailors leaving Navy over stress on social issues, Top Gun instructor says" by Rowan Scarborough, The Washington Times 3/25/14

A Navy F-18 fighter pilot and former Top Gun instructor . . . Cmdr. Guy Snodgrass, until recently a Pentagon speech writer for the chief of naval operations, Adm. Jonathan Greenert, said sailors are becoming fed-up with the constant emphasis on social issues — an apparent reference to gays in the military, women in combat and ending sexual harassment.

“Sailors continue to cite the over-focus on social issues by senior leadership, above and beyond discussions on war fighting — a fact that demoralizes junior and mid-grade officers alike,” Cmdr. Snodgrass wrote this month on the U.S. Naval Institute website, an independent forum for active and retired sailors and Marines.

Vice Adm. William Moran, deputy chief of naval operations for manpower, personnel, training and education, told The Washington Times Tuesday that he applauds Cmdr.  Snodgrass for warning that retention problems may lie ahead.

“I share many of the concerns and have similar questions raised in the paper,” Adm. Moran said. “Many have heard me on the road talk about how the Bureau of Naval Personnel, historically ‘swings behind the pitch,’ unable to nimbly react to economic and early stage retention issues. It’s not neglect, good people here trying to do the best they can with limited tools, but the fact is it has cost us in both good people and money. We have to do better, and I must say that this discourse helps.”

UPDATE 12/19/13: Air Force & Navy Take Orders from Atheists

-- From "Academy's Hiring of Anti-gay Author Draws Ire" by Leo Shane III, Stars and Stripes 11/21/13

Gay rights advocates are demanding Air Force Academy officials explain why they hired a controversial anti-gay author as part of their ethics program, saying his views are offensive and potentially destructive.

Mike Rosebush, who now works as a research analyst for the academy's Center of Character and Leadership Development, was hired by the academy in 2009, before the military's "don't ask, don't tell" law was repealed.

The same year, he published "Sanctification Coaching: Sexual Purity and Peace for Christian Men with Same-Sex Attractions." The book advocates using Christian teachings and prayer to overcome "wicked desires" like homosexual urges, and charts Rosebush's own "struggles" to turn away from a gay lifestyle.

Before that, Rosebush was an active leader and speaker at numerous "conversion therapy" organizations, which maintain that same-sex urges can be overcome through discipline and prayer.

In his current capacity, Dr Rosebush has been involved with the design and execution of MOSAIC Personalized Coaching. The MOSAIC program develops growth in areas related directly to the Air Force’s Core Values and the Air Force’s Institutional Leadership Competencies, to include Respect for Human Dignity, Humility, Duty, Honesty, Care for Others, Taking Care of People, etc. The Academy’s Mosaic program is based on best practices from executive coaching in industry and academia. The program has been validated by the Jon C. Dalton Institute on College Student Values, earning its 2013 Best Practices Award, and has generated requests by outside corporate agencies for application to their organizations.

From "Air Force Academy employs Focus alum and 'conversion therapy' champion" by Pam Zubeck, Colorado Springs Independent 11/20/13

Rosebush has actually spent a good share of his career at the academy. After graduating from there in 1975, he taught a core psychology course on campus from 1982 to 1985, the academy says via email. In 1989, he completed a doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of North Carolina, which included a dissertation titled, "Behavioral observation scale for a subordinate appraisal of supervisory performance at the U.S. Air Force Academy."

He then returned to the academy from 1988 to 1992, teaching courses on leadership and marriage and family. He was named an "outstanding instructor" during that time, the academy reports.

In 1990, he became a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado; he would often practice over the phone. In 1995, he retired from the military and joined Focus on the Family, the Colorado Springs-based Christian organization notorious for LGBT intolerance.

During 10 years there, he was a vice president and directed a college program in the Focus on the Family Institute, according to biographies issued by the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuals (NARTH) and the website strengthinweakness.org.

From "Academy official under fire for past work promoting 'recovery' for gays" by Stephen Losey, Staff writer, Air Force Times 11/19/13

In a statement, the academy said Rosebush “does not and will not evaluate or counsel cadets,” and “has had no interaction with cadets at any time since he was hired in 2009.” Rosebush last interacted with cadets during his previous employment at the academy, which went from 1988 to 1992. During that period, Rosebush worked in the academy’s directorate of education and taught a course on marriage and family and a behavioral science core leadership course, and he won an outstanding instructor award, the academy said.

He also was named the Cadet Wing “civilian of the year” by the commandant of cadets in 2011.

The Amazon summary says Rosebush was the professional counselor’s network director at Exodus International, the now-defunct ex-gay ministry.

Christians in Obama's Military? Don't Ask, Don't Tell

As conservatives have warned for years, homosexualists' demands for "gay rights" must, by default, result in stripping America of religious liberty.  That prediction is now reality in a military recreated into President Obama's image, where Christians are now "forced into the closet."

Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) urged Deborah Lee James, President Obama’s nominee for Secretary of the Air Force, to look into specific cases in which the military allegedly suppressed service members’ religious rights before she is confirmed by the U.S. Senate. "We're going to give you about 42 specific examples as a followup," Vitter told her.

“A lot of us are very concerned about what in our opinion is political correctness run amok on steroids quashing legitimate exercise and expression of religion in the military, things like… telling somebody they can’t have a Bible on their desk - that’s a documented case. Telling a Christian chaplain he can’t end a prayer in Jesus’ name – that’s a documented case,” Vitter told James at her nomination hearing Thursday.

However, committee chairman Carl Levin (D-Mich) said during Thursday’s hearing that “in terms of the reference to prayer, depending on where a prayer is made, if it’s made to a general audience, it could be a different responsibility for a chaplain than if it’s made to an audience of his own religion.

“This is a very sensitive area, because we want to protect freedom of religion for chaplains and for our troops, but we also want to protect the freedom of religion for people who are listening to chaplains,” Levin continued.

Obama Breaks Law, Gives VA Money to Homosexuals

President Obama ordered his "justice" department to violate Title 38 of the U.S. Code governing the Veterans Administration and the Department of Defense, which designates benefits only for one-man, one-woman marriage. In carrying out the order, DOJ Attorney General Eric Holder admits that the recent Supreme Court "Windsor" decision on same-sex "marriage" did NOT address Title 38, but Holder said the Obama administration considers Title 38 unconstitutional -- no need for a judicial branch decision.

"Decisions by the Executive not to enforce federal laws are appropriately rare," Holder told Congress. "Nevertheless, the unique circumstances presented here warrant non-enforcement."

He said the Supreme Court's conclusion that DOMA imposes a stigma on everyone in same-sex marriages "would seem to apply equally" to the veterans benefits law.

Although the Supreme Court did not directly address the constitutionality of the veterans benefits provisions, the reasoning of the opinion "strongly supports the conclusion that those provisions are unconstitutional," Holder wrote.

President Barack Obama directed the executive branch to cease enforcement of the provision, Holder wrote.

President Obama goes beyond the Supreme Court's Defense of Marriage Act ruling, directing the government to stop enforcing provisions that withheld spousal benefits from legally married gay veterans.

The Obama administration has made a series of policy decisions since the Windsor decision to extend federal benefits to legally married gay couples. Wednesday's announcement went further in that it declared unconstitutional and therefore invalid an existing statute that was not considered by the Supreme Court.

Last week, the Internal Revenue Service announced that couples in same-sex marriages could file federal taxes jointly. The Office of Personnel Management has allowed same-sex spouses of federal employees to receive insurance benefits regardless of where they live. And in regard to immigration law, same-sex marriages are now treated the same as opposite-sex marriages.

When CP later contacted Christensen again as to whether DoD had an estimate, he responded that "Sept. 3 is just the tip of the iceberg" and that "we won't know for some time."

. . . In addition to no present estimates for the possible costs of the expansions from OPM, the DoD, or HHS, there has been no research done by the United States Government Accountability Office.
