Court Nixes Police Favoring Muslims vs. Christians

On June 15, 2012, Christian evangelists were ordered by police to leave the Arab International Festival in Dearborn, Michigan because some Muslims there perpetrated acts of violence against the Christians.  Last week, the 6th Circuit Appeals Court ruled in favor of Bible Believers against defendant Wayne County, Michigan.

“We find that defendants violated the Bible Believers’ First Amendment rights because there can be no legitimate dispute based on this record that the [police] effectuated a heckler’s veto by cutting off the Bible Believers’ protected speech in response to a hostile crowd’s reaction. . . . The video record evinces next to no attempt made by the officers to protect the Bible Believers or prevent the lawless actions of the [Muslim] audience.”

The case stems from a 2012 incident in which members of a group called Bible Believers were pelted with rocks while carrying a pig’s head and telling Dearborn Muslims at the street festival that they would “burn in hell.” Wayne County sheriff’s deputies told the evangelists to leave or be ticketed.

“From a constitutional standpoint, this should be an easy case to resolve,” said Judge Eric Clay, writing for the majority. “However, it is also easy to understand Dearborn’s desire to host a joyous festival celebrating the city’s Arab heritage in an atmosphere that is free of hate and negative influences.

“But the answer to disagreeable speech is not violent retaliation by offended listeners or ratification of the heckler’s veto through threat of arrest by the police,” Clay wrote.

Some [Muslim] members of the crowd responded by throwing plastic bottles, eggs and milk crates at the Bible Believers.

The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, Ohio, made its ruling based on the First Amendment, saying the evangelist group Bible Believers should have been protected even though its speech was loathsome and intolerant. The opinion also mentioned the obligation of police when confronted with constitutionally protected speech that threatens to incite violence.

“Bearing in mind the interspersed surges of ethnic, racial, and religious conflict that from time to time mar our national history, the constitutional lessons to be learned from the circumstances of this case are both timeless and markedly seasonable,” Judge Eric Clay wrote.

The opinion by the court on Wednesday overturned a lower-court judgment and sent the case back to a federal court in Detroit, where a judge will decide the damages.

An en banc federal appeals court [review by 15 judges] has ruled that Christian evangelists who were “preaching hate and denigration to a crowd of Muslims” may collect damages because police told them to leave.

Police conferred with the Wayne County corporation counsel and told the Bible Believers they would be cited for disorderly conduct if they did not leave. More than a dozen officers escorted the group members from the festival.

The Constitution, however, does not allow “an angry mob of riotous adolescents to dictate what religious beliefs and opinions could and could not be expressed,” the court said. . . .

The court said Wayne County “effectuated a constitutionally impermissible heckler’s veto,” violating the Christians’ rights to free speech, free exercise of religion and equal protection.

The case against Wayne County, Sheriff Benny Napoleon and members of the department [deputies Dennis Richardson and Mike Jaafar], originally was handled in Detroit by U.S. District Judge Patrick Duggan, who recently retired.

The full court agreed one year ago to reconsider the case after setting aside a 2-1 decision by a three-judge panel in August 2014.

In that opinion, the panel said sheriff’s deputies didn’t violate the evangelists’ free speech rights

Such rehearings are rare.

“We are reviewing the court’s opinion,” sheriff’s office spokeswoman Paula Bridges said in a statement Wednesday. “No decision has been made as to what next steps, if any, will be taken therefore we will refrain from comment at this time.”

The lawsuit was originally filed in Detroit federal court by Ruben Chavez, Arthur Fisher, and Joshua DeLosSantos, a group known as the Bible Believers.

U.S. District Judge Patrick Duggan threw out the case, and an earlier appeals ruling upheld that decision, but the Wednesday opinion overturns the first two, ordering the case back to the lower court for calculation of damages.

"The only references to violence or lawlessness on the part of the Bible Believers were messages such as, 'Islam is a Religion of Blood and Murder,' 'Turn or Burn,' and 'Your prophet is a pedophile.' These messages, however offensive, do not advocate for, encourage, condone, or even embrace imminent violence or lawlessness," the majority found in an opinion written but U.S. 6th Circuit Judge Eric L. Clay.

"Although it might be inferred that the Bible Believers' speech was intended to anger their target audience, the record is devoid of any indication that they intended imminent lawlessness to ensue. Quite to the contrary, the Bible Believers contacted Wayne County prior to their visit, requesting that the WCSO keep the public at bay so that the Bible Believers could 'engage in their peaceful expression.'"

In August 2013, Lee Stafford and Jared Ellers filed a complaint against Betty and Richard Odgaard, owners of Görtz Haus Gallery gift shop and bistro in Grimes, Iowa, because the Odgaards said it would be against their Mennonite faith to rent their building for Stafford's and Ellers's same-sex "wedding."  The Odgaards paid the homosexuals $5,000 to settle the complaint and the Odgaards filed a lawsuit against the Iowa Civil Rights Commission over the state's anti-Christian laws, but the homosexualists' publicity hate campaign against the Odgaards has chased away virtually all customers.

Betty Odgaard said after the complaint was publicized that the gallery's gift shop and bistro have always served gays and lesbians, but that hosting a same-sex wedding would be against the family's religious beliefs.

Odgaard said the Gortz Haus has typically hosted 15 to 20 weddings on a yearly basis. Additionally, the couple will stop catering and providing flowers to all weddings. The couple made the decision voluntarily because continuing to hold weddings could make them a target for future discrimination lawsuits, Odgaard said.

The Odgaards have dismissed a lawsuit they filed against the Iowa Civil Rights Commission that claimed their religious freedom was being violated, said Eric Baxter, an attorney with the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty who represented the Odgaards. After refusing to host a wedding for Stafford and Ellers, the Odgaards became a target for "hateful and threatening emails," according to the lawsuit they filed. Betty Odgaard told the Register in October 2013 that people were boycotting the gallery.

The Odgaards' case was publicized internationally, and they say they got "venomous" mail and phone calls from people labeling them as bigots. The media firestorm erupted just before the Iowa State Fair, and Betty Odgaard remembers fearing that people would recognize the couple and lash out as they strolled the fairgrounds. She fell into a deep depression for eight months, she said.

In 2002, Betty and Richard Odgaard remodeled an old Lutheran church in Grimes, turning it into the Gortz Haus Gallery. Their troubles began in 2013, when the couple refused to host a homosexual wedding at the gallery.

"We got a lot of phone calls in the beginning," Mrs. Odgaard recalls, "and they said, Heard what you did. We'll never be back again because you're haters and bigots. So, yes, we saw a decrease in our business immediately."

But the couple is undeterred and now has a ministry called God's Original Design. Their plan is to use billboards to proclaim natural marriage as God's design.

Richard Odgaard and his wife, Betty, the owners of Görtz Haus Gallery in Grimes, Iowa, say they will close their business completely by the end of August, about two years after they told a gay couple from Des Moines their facility cannot be rented for the wedding.

The Odgaards see a 2009 decision of the Iowa Supreme Court as the beginning of their violation of religious freedom. "I think if people in Iowa would have had a chance to vote on this, it would have never have been this way. People in Iowa are pretty conservative," Betty was quoted as saying.

The Christian couple also plans to use the building for its original function, by turning it back into a church. "That would be the most wonderful option," Betty said.

The couple says that’s because pending litigation prevented them from being able to speak out, further isolating them from their community.

The Odgaards also feel they never got their day in court, and had the case turned out differently, they might not have been driven out of business.

“Now the precedent has been set,” Richard said. “The administrative process has demonstrated what it will do if this happens [again], so it’s a matter of setting somebody up and collecting money. It’s that simple. It’s all they have to do.”

After Brian Klawiter, owner of Dieseltec in Grandville, Michigan posted on Facebook that he wouldn't tolerate overt homosexuality in his diesel repair shop, his building and vehicles were vandalized and the city cited his business for non-compliance.

"Well, folks, as we predicted, it didn't take long for the ugly face of the homosexual movement to present itself. What started out with 'mere' death threats against myself and my family and homosexuals spamming my Facebook page with gay porn shots, has escalated to physical violence. See the pics below. We called police to file a report this morning, and City of Grandville Officer John Davis responded.The officer arrived, looked around, took a few notes, chuckled, and said 'turn it in to the insurance company.' He gave us a Police Report number 15-2779, but did not take the rock which has a fingerprint on it.The homosexual agenda is evil, and is prepared to destroy anyone who gets in its way, or who calls homosexuality a sin. [After ignoring the issue for months,] City Clerk Mary Meines said the city sent Dieseltec another notice last week, after Klawiter posted to the business' Facebook page that he would not serve openly gay customers. The latest notice gave the business until May 15 to get a city license, she said.

Brian Klawiter, owner of the auto shop, submitted forms Monday, April 20, to come into compliance with local licensing rules. Following a pre-printed statement on the application form about agreeing to conduct business in compliance with city ordinances, Klawiter added this handwritten addendum:

"With the exception of Sec. 12-14 due to its wording. An inspection of my business can be achieved with a warrant in accordance with constitutional law."

The ordinance section states that the city has "authority to enter (licensed businesses), with or without search warrant, at all reasonable times."

Kevin O'Connor, 61, owns a pizza parlor in Walkerton, Ind., called Memories Pizza. On Wednesday, he and his co-owner daughter, Crystal, told a reporter from South Bend, Ind., ABC affiliate WBND that their establishment would have to refuse to cater a gay wedding, if asked.

"We service anyone. I don't care who it is. I don't care if they're covered with tattoos, I don't care if they got rings in their ears. I don't care if they're gay. The only thing I said was I cannot condone gay marriage," [Kevin O'Connor] said. "If [same-sex couples] want to come in the store, that's their privilege. They can do that. But I can't condone gay marriage, that's against my belief."

"I don't know if we will reopen, or if we can, if it's safe to reopen" Crystal O'Connor said in an interview with The Blaze television Wednesday.

The O'Connors were interviewed by WBND-TV in response to the Indiana Legislature's passage last week of the controversial Religious Freedom Restoration Act -- which critics say allows businesses to cite religious beliefs as a valid defense for discriminatory practices.

The business' Facebook and Yelp pages were bombarded with posts ridiculing the owners' position. Posts on the two pages were filled with comments and pictures, some lewd. The pizza shop closed for business on Wednesday.

The pizza parlor also became the subject of news reports nationwide, with The Daily Beast, Huffington Post, Politico and Gawker, among others, wading into the fray.

On Wednesday afternoon, James Cain stood in front of the pizzeria holding a hand-made cardboard sign with "bigots" written in ink. While he acknowledged the owners' religious beliefs, he questioned the idea that providing a service to a customer meant the owners endorsed that customer's lifestyle.

The [Walkerton Police Department] release said the department has finished an investigation into Jessica Dooley's tweet and has filed a case with the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office for possible charges of harassment, intimidation and threats.

Concord [school] Superintendent Wayne Stubbs confirms golf and softball coach Jess Dooley will be suspended until an "investigation is complete" after she tweeted "Who's going to Walkerton, IN to burn down #memoriespizza w me?"

The tweet has since been deleted and Dooley's account appears to have been deactivated. The Elkhart County Special Education Cooperative, where Dooley is also employed, has declined to comment on the situation.

The dust-up has proved a windfall of sorts for Memories. A GoFundMe page called “Support Memories Pizza” set up to raise $35,000 for the embattled restaurant got almost $50,000 from more than 1,300 donors in 11 hours — and donations continue to come in.

“Every day before we open the store, we gather and pray together,” reads a sign posted in [Memories Pizza], which also boasts numerous crosses, including one that says “Glorify the Lord.” “If there is something you would like us to pray for, just write it down and drop it in the box.”

The original fundraising goal on the site was $25,000.  By 8:30 PM Wednesday more than $20,000 had been raised, and the goal was bumped up to $50,000.

They're not all negative, though. Carl from Kokomo says "thank you for standing up for your beliefs. Don't let these detractors get to you. Nobody needs to be bullied into giving up their convictions."

Quinn Hochstetler says the outcry against the O'Connor's is going overboard.

"These are folks who go to bat for anyone in this community. Anybody that's needed a handup, volunteers, money. They've been there," he said about the O'Connors.

The Go-Fund me site set up to support the family has raised over 55,000 dollars. As some send money to the family, others are angry. One person posted on the website, "You are spending your money to fund hate."

Gay Indoctrination Mandated at George Wash. Univ.

After the George Washington University Student Association voted to mandate "LGBT sensitivity training" for all student organizations, the Young America's Foundation (YAF) indicated that it hopes to be exempted on the basis of the Christian faith of their members; but Allied in Pride, the campus homosexualist student group, screamed that such resistance to the gay indoctrination program constitutes hate and therefore YAF must be defunded.

[Allied in Pride] argues that because Young America’s Foundation is a political organization and not explicitly religious, it should not be allowed to seek an exemption. Jashinsky told the Hatchet that certain aspects of the training, such as promoting the use of alternative gender-neutral pronouns, would be incongruent with some members’ religious beliefs.

Allied in Pride recently issued an “Allied in Pride Queer Guide” at the school providing a list of preferred “non-binary prounouns,” such as “they/them,” “ze/hir” and “xe/xir.”

It also called YAF’s refusal to use preferred gender pronouns “an act of violence” and a violation of the GW non-discrimination clause.

From "Conservative campus organization accused of being ‘hate group,’ may lose funding" by College Fix Staff 3/7/15

When news that the group sought an exemption from the training spread across campus Thursday and Friday, the controversy engulfed the school, and many students ridiculed the conservative club, calling it names and accusing it of “hate” on the Internet and social media.

Young America’s Foundation Vice President Patrick Coyle said the backlash the group faces is all too typical.

“Like most universities, in order to be ‘inclusive,’ GW must exclude students who disagree with prevailing leftist ideas that are pushed by the administration, faculty, and other liberal student groups,” he said in a statement.

Coyle said George Washington University has a “long history” of such intolerance, citing a number of attacks on its YAF chapter over the years, including an incident last year in which students vandalized a pro-life display and trashed some of the items.

Mich. Homosexualist Attacks Christian on Mom's Day

Christine Weick stood on a busy street corner in Grandville, Michigan on Sunday with a sign saying “Thank your mom today for not being gay,” attracting the attention of a local TV news crew and an angry passerby who shouted obscenities at Weick and hit her in the face.  Although police were called and investigated the assault, Weick chose not to press charges.

“Truth is hate to those that hate the truth, and this is the truth.  They don’t like it and they label me a hater, and it isn’t that at all. I love them enough to tell them they are on the wrong path.”

The two women then engaged in a confrontation. Slushie-thrower Jessica Prince using profanity and rude gestures.

Weick held up a can of pepper spray, warning Prince, “Take a step towards me, you’re gonna get it.” Weick said the slushie-throwing was illegal and that she would spray Prince if she felt attacked.

“Can you leave the slushie part out [of the video]? I don’t want to go to jail,” Prince asked 24 Hour News 8 before she left the scene.

Grandville police arrived after that. Weick had called them before the slushie incident because she said a teen who disagreed with her was making her uncomfortable.

Zach Hoag later joined Weick, carrying a pro-gay sign taht read “But two moms can be fabulous!”

“I’m gay and I have children,” one woman shouted at her from a car window. “I think you’re sick.”

Weick is the author of Explain This! A Verse by Verse Explanation of the Book of Revelations. She is a born-again Christian. In March, she protested during the trial to overturn Michigan's gay marriage ban with a sign saying "Warning! God draws a line on gay marriage."

Police are investigating whether criminal charges should be sought after a woman hurled a frozen beverage at an anti-gay demonstrator.

The Grandville Police Department Monday subpoenaed WOOD TV8 for the unedited video for use in its investigation. That request was sent to our attorneys for review. Police have had the opportunity to view the most incriminating portion of the video, which clearly shows Prince throwing the slushie on Weick, on 24 Hour News 8?s air and online at woodtv.com.

“I believe there are consequences for that type of behavior. It was an assault. If the prosecuting attorney drops it, I am OK. If I meet her again, you know, I’ll say hello. I don’t hate her,” [Weick] said.

She said she would like to have lunch with Prince sometime, even offering to buy.

Washington state Attorney General has sued Barronelle Stutzman, owner of Arlene’s Flowers and Gifts, because she declined to service a homosexual "wedding."  Citizens of Washington voted for same-sex "marriage" in November, and as a result, the government must enforce the law requiring all Christians in the state to celebrate deviant sexual behavior.

State Attorney General Bob Ferguson is suing the shop owner for discrimination. The complaint was filed in Benton County on Tuesday against Barronelle Stutzman, owner of Arlene's Flowers and Gifts in Richland.

Ferguson had sent a letter on March 28 asking her to comply with the law, but said Stutzman's attorneys responded Monday saying she would challenge any state action to enforce the law. Washington state voters upheld a same-sex marriage law in November, and the law took effect in December.

The state's anti-discrimination laws were expanded in 2006 to include sexual orientation.

Ferguson seeks a permanent injunction requiring the store to comply with the state's consumer protection laws and seeks at least $2,000 in fines.

The suit stems from a March 1 incident in which Robert Ingersoll went to Arlene’s to purchase flowers for his upcoming wedding [to Curt Freed]. Stutzman refused him service, citing her “relationship with Jesus Christ.”

“I one hundred percent believe this is a freedom-of-expression and free-exercise-of-religion issue,” he said. “What the government is saying here is that you don’t have the right to free religious exercise.”

Evangelical Christian organizations are encouraging parents to oppose the latest homosexual-celebration day foisted upon schools.  Mix It Up at Lunch Day on October 30th is being promoted by the Southern Poverty Law Center, a homosexual advocacy organization that is highly touted by mainstream media, even though the SPLC labels Bible-believing Christians as haters.

Public pressure appears to be working, as the SPLC says about 10% of participating schools have already dropped the event.

The swirl around Mix It Up at Lunch Day reflects a deeper battle between the Southern Poverty Law Center, a civil-rights group founded 41 years ago in Montgomery, Ala., and the American Family Association, a Bible-based cultural watchdog organization in Tupelo, Miss. The association says its mission is to fight what it calls the “increasing ungodliness” in America.

The law center recently added the group to its national list of active hate groups, which also includes neo-Nazis, black separatists and Holocaust deniers.

Association leaders, in return, have gone on the offensive, calling the law center a hate group for oppressing Christian students and claiming its aim is to shut down groups that oppose homosexuality.

The Southern Poverty Law Center has been working in other aspects of society as well to silence what it believes is bigotry and hatred against homosexuality. It says that it “monitors hate groups and other extremists throughout the United States and exposes their activities to law enforcement agencies, the media and the public.” Over 1,000 entities have been placed on its “hate group” list, including a number of Christian and pro-family groups, such as Focus on the Family and Family Research Council

Uproar ensued -- protesters with signs gathered outside the church, a barrage of comments were made on Facebook, and a threatening message laced with profanity was left on the church’s voicemail.

“Your sign is completely [expletive]…even post something like that,” the voicemail said. “Your church should be burned.”

“To see the responses come back to us. I didn’t realize the church hated so much by the people that disagree with us,” said O’Connor.

“We think we have the right to express our difference of opinion in freedom without the backlash of hatred,” said O’Connor.

Meanwhile, three signs of a very different tone were found Wednesday on church property. Among other things they tell the reader to “Pray for Death” and make a sexually derogatory reference to the Virgin Mary.

O'Connor said the protesters have every right to stand on the sidewalk and make a statement but the church also has the right to put up its message. “I thought we had freedom of religion, freedom of speech,” he said. “Show your point of view. But why couldn't we?”

The pastor also disputed the idea that the church's message board was “hateful.” The Catholic Church has “always said marriage is ... a sacrament between a man and a woman, which is open to life,” he said. “It doesn't mean we hate you because of your sexuality. ... But apparently we're hated now because we have that view.”

[New Bedford resident Joshua] Scribner agreed the church is entitled to its beliefs. But “there's a line, I feel, of respect that they kind of crossed,” he said. While the church's message is often heard on the news, “when you're in a small community, I just feel like you need to think about others' feelings. ... I mean, that's what they preach.”

If the Missouri House and Gov. Jay Nixon agree, later this year it will be a crime to “disrupt a house of worship.”

Senate President Pro Tem Rob Mayer, R-Dexter, told colleagues a person could be charged with the crime if he or she “knowingly disturbs a building used for religious purposes by the use of profanity, by rude or indecent behavior or by making some unreasonable noises.”

He said the crime also could be charged if a person “intentionally or attempts to injure, intimidate, or interfere with any person lawfully exercising their right of religious freedom, or (are) seeking access to a house of worship, if they use force, threat or physical obstruction.”

Senate President Pro Tem Rob Mayer said he sponsored the legislation because there have been isolated incidents around the country of people disturbing worship services, though he did not cite any particular examples.

"It's something that you wouldn't think you'd have to come forth with," said Mayer, R-Dexter. "But we're getting some protests at mosques and synagogues and churches and even outside the church buildings on the actual church property."

Several other states already have similar laws, according to the National Criminal Justice Reference Service.

When administrators arrived at the academy at 502 W. Euclid Ave., they discovered a number of broken windows and door panes on the east side of the building, which were shattered by bricks, Arlington Heights Police Capt. Nicholas Pecora said. There are no suspects yet.

Attached to one of the bricks was a note, which referenced speakers scheduled for a Saturday night banquet at the school, said the Rev. Calvin Lindstrom of Christian Liberty. The note read, “This is just a sample of what we will do if you don’t shut down Scott Lively and AFTAH,” Lindstrom said.

The banquet was organized by the Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, a group that seeks to expose the “homosexual activist agenda,” according to its website. The banquet featured speaker and Moody Church pastor Rev. Erwin Lutzer and honored Scott Lively of Defending the Family International and Abiding Truth Ministries with the “American Truthteller” award.

About 30 protesters picketed the banquet outside the academy, but police, who were present at the event, said no arrests were made.

The Naperville-based Americans for Truth about Homosexuality [Peter LaBarbera, President] will honor the Rev. Scott Lively at a dinner at Christian Liberty Academy.

Outside the Saturday dinner the Gay Liberation Network will protest, as it does annually, said Roger Fraser of Rolling Meadows, a network member.

Fraser said the Network calls the event the “bigot banquet” and pickets will carry signs and protest loudly.

The Rev. Erwin Lutzer, senior pastor of Moody Church in Chicago, will be the main speaker at the dinner.

His involvement over the past decade with the Gay Liberation Network and the protests he's attended, like the one this Saturday night at Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Hts. . . .

"I was determined as a teacher that I was going to be an advocate," Fraser said.

Past protests at [Liberty Academy] have had activists banging drums, chanting slogans, and marching, Lindstrom said. Those chants can at times become angry, heightening tensions around the school.

In the early morning hours of October 15th, we put two chunks of concrete through the glass windows and doors of the Christian liberty academy (502 W. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights, IL) We did this because at 6pm today they will be hosting an event organized by the homophobic hate group Americans For Truth About Homosexuality that will be presenting an award to Scott Lively. . . .

These chunks of concrete were thrown through these windows and doors for two reasons: to show that there is a consequence for hatred and homophobia in our community and to directly cause this event to be shut down. If this event is not shut down, and the homophobic day trainings do not end, the Christian liberty academy will continue to be under constant attack.

From "Moody Pastor Erwin Lutzer Holds Firm as Marxist Homosexual Group Pressures him to Pull Out of AFTAH Banquet" by Peter LaBarbera, Americans for Truth about Homosexuality 10/13/11

A Chicago Marxist group, Gay Liberation Network, is pressuring Moody Church Pastor Dr. Erwin Lutzer to pull out as keynote speaker at the Americans For Truth banquet this Saturday because AFTAH is honoring Scott Lively, who GLN falsely claims has a “history as a vicious gay basher.” At the October 15 event, AFTAH will present Lively with its 2011 “American Truth Teller” award for his years of defending truth on the homosexual issue.

In his letter to Lutzer, GLN’s Bob Schwartz writes:

“Are you aware of Lively’s history as a vicious gay basher?…In addition, as you may know, LaBarbera’s organization [AFTAH] and Lively’s Abiding Truth Ministries are both described as ‘hate groups’ by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Are these the kinds of organizations with which you wish to associate the Moody Church? …[W]e take you at your word when you say you oppose violence against gays. We therefore assume that you would not want to be associated with those, like Lively and LaBarbera, who either support violence outright, or honor those who do.”

From "'Gay' hate vandalizes church, threatens even more violence" by Drew Zahn, World Net Daily 10/15/11

Upon the concrete bricks were written the words "Shut down Lively," and the vandals included a note theatening more violence if the church and school didn't stop hosting such "homophobic" guests.

"This is just a sample of what we will do if you don't shut down Scott Lively and AFTAH," the note reads. "F--- Scott Lively. Quit the homophobic s---!"

"We see the homosexual agenda is becoming so arrogant in its growing power," LaBarbera added, "but we've never seen this before, what we would call 'homofascism' being raised to the level of domestic terrorism."

"A lot of Chistians cower in fear before the power and influence of the homosexual lobby," LaBarbera added. "It's not helpful. If you demonstrate you can be intimidated, you reward the bully. The 'gay' bully has been rewarded enough times, so many times they think they can get their way. We hope more churches will refuse to be bullied and will stand up to tell the truth about the homosexual agenda."
