Arrests: Christian Beaten at Seattle Gay Event

A street preacher was viciously beaten at Seattle’s Pridefest as he and another Christian stood near the public celebration of debauchery while holding Bibles and signs reading “Jesus Saves from Sin” and “Repent or Else.”  A homosexualist mob reacted angrily to the Christian message, grabbing at the signs and yelling profanity, then 36-year-old Jason Queree and another man savagely beat the preacher until police arrived, arresting the two attackers.

Officers returned to the scene after the fight was broken up and arrested the 36-year-old, who was booked into King County Jail. A 22-year-old, also from Marysville, who the video shows grabbing the protester's sign and kicking him while on the ground was arrested and later released. From "Street Preachers Protesting Homosexuality Assaulted at Seattle's Pridefest" by Melissa Barnhart, Christian Post Reporter 7/5/13

Ruben Israel, who's been a street preacher for 33 years and is a member of Bible Believers, which has 74 chapters nationwide, told The Christian Post on Friday that he has encountered attacks similar to the one in Seattle.

Israel said he "believes that the Supreme Court's decision last month has influenced the gay community to become lot more aggressive." And he added that physical attacks, such as the one in Seattle, "will happen more often."

"We are not haters," Israel said. "This has nothing to do with hate. It's sharing the Gospel."

"[The LGBT community] believes they have the law behind them. If you disagree with them, you're in the wrong. These are people who blanket themselves with the word 'tolerance.' I see it escalating over and over and over. They will attack us in the presence of police and they will attack us in front of a video camera," he added.
