A video of a teenage girl performing oral sex on three teenage boys in a stairway at Northern Vance High School in Henderson, North Carolina was filmed by a fourth male teen. Neither the school nor police and other authorities consider the incident as significant.

The 14-year-old girl involved said she was forced to perform oral sex on the three male students, who are 15, 16 and 18 years old. All the students involved have developmental disabilities, Sheriff Peter White said, although the type of disabilities has not been disclosed.
District Attorney Mike Waters said age and competency were not issues.
The Vance County Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney’s Office did not find grounds for criminal charges in the case.

It allegedly happened in a stairwell during school hours at Northern Vance High School in Henderson on Jan. 7.
The sheriff said the video was not disseminated and did not show use of force.
Vance County Schools said the male students involved could receive long-term suspensions, which could last up to 364 days.

“School staff discovered students out of place and began to question the situation,” Cindy Bennett, Vance County Schools assistant superintendent of student services, wrote in an email to the Dispatch. “This realization happened after the incident, as the school was dismissing for the day. School staff immediately began to review security footage to determine if an incident had occurred.”
Bennett ignored questions about why police were not contacted immediately, and how students were able to engage in sex acts in a school hallway unsupervised and undetected.
Fox 8 reports the Vance County Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney’s Office investigated the incident and determined a crime was not committed because the young girl seemed to be a willing participant in the action, and the cell phone video recording was not disseminated.
Bennett referred to the incident as a disciplinary infraction and said the male students involved could face up to a 364-day suspension. She would not tell the Dispatch whether any school employees were reprimanded as a result of the incident, or if staff obtained the cell phone video recorded by the students.

About 25 students at the school were interviewed during a police investigation that spanned several weeks and ended last week with four students — two girls and two boys — facing possible charges in Cook County's juvenile court division with dissemination of harmful material to a minor.
Police interviews revealed another female student, a 17-year-old Ridgewood junior — allegedly sent out nude self portraits to several classmates.
The four facing charges include the two girls, who police said took and sent the inappropriate selfies, along with a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy who distributed the photos. The photos were seen by "more than a few kids," according to [Norridge Police Det. Chuck] Tortorello.
The 17-year-olds could have faced more serious charges — possibly felonies — if they had been 18 when they distributed the photos, Tortorello said.
"For an adult who sends a nude photo of a juvenile, it could have been serious — serious enough that you could end up in a penitentiary," Tortorello said.

Child Pornography Allowed by Illinois Library Vote
Library trustees in Orland Park, IL voted, again, to allow unfiltered Internet access in the computer lab as a First Amendment right to local perverts, however the revised policy allows librarians to intervene if one patron's masturbation is legitimately disturbing another patron.

The Illinois attorney general's office has directed the Orland Park Public Library board to revote on public access to online pornography and several other policy changes approved and at a March meeting.
The Attorney General's Public Access Bureau found that the board agenda and elected officials failed to adequately inform the public "of the nature of the matters under consideration and the business being conducted."
The state agency's decision responds to a complaint by Mokena resident Megan Fox who, with Chicago resident Kevin DuJan, has been trying to get the library board to modify policies that allow unrestricted online access, including to pornography, on library computers.
The Orland Park library, with the backing of the American Library Association, has cited the First Amendment as one reason for its policy that does not restrict Internet access in its adult computer area.

Before the 4-2 vote, some patrons asked the board to install a filter to prevent people from being able to view pornographic material while online, and two library trustees said they supported the use of filters.
Trustee Dan Drew told his fellow trustees that a firewall or filter “protects us, protects our community,” and that visitors to the library “don’t need to be looking at nasty stuff.”
He was supported by Trustee Julie Ann Craig, who said patrons want “to enjoy and feel comfortable” in the library, and that “my job is to protect the community.”
Board members Beth Gierach, Nancy Healy, Diane Jennings and Denis Ryan voted to continue to allow unfiltered access.

In a 4-2 vote, trustees again settled on a compromise: keep Internet access unrestricted in the adult computer lab while strengthening a patron behavior policy to make it easier for librarians to intervene if one patron's computer use disturbs another.
The library's most vocal critics, including Fox and DuJan, have accused library staff and trustees of covering up incidents of public masturbation and child pornography access and supporting policies that make the library unsafe for families.
[Trustee] Jennings said a majority of more than 100 northern Illinois libraries that displayed Internet policies on their websites did not filter Internet access on computers used by adults, according to research by library staff.
"If we could find a filter that covered only child pornography and things considered obscene by local standards, I'd have no hesitation. Unfortunately, no one has come up with that," Jennings said.

Indiana Teens & Child Pornography Crimes: Sexting
Teenage students, including aged 15 and younger, attending Carmel (Indiana) High School in suburban Indianapolis are under investigation by police after they transmitted nude photographs of children via cellular phones -- some of the photos may have been marketed.

UPDATE 12/17/14: Illinois Police Find Nude Selfies in School Sexting Investigation
-- From "Police investigating sexting at high school in northern Indianapolis suburb" by The Associated Press 5/26/14
Carmel Police Department Lt. Joe Bickel says in an email sent Monday that police had contacted Carmel Clay school district about "inappropriate digital images on electronic devices" and were conducting an investigation in partnership with school officials.
Sexting is the practice of teens sending nude or sexually explicit photos or videos of fellow minors by cellphone.
Indiana law concerning sexting bears a complicated relationship with statutes outlawing child pornography due to the ages of both victims and those sending images.

Police and school officials would not say whether the images were sexual in nature, or what laws may have been broken. But students reported Thursday on Twitter that school administrators were conducting a "nude raid" and suspending those who had "sexts" saved on their cellphones.
Under Indiana law on child pornography and exploitation, it is a felony offense to "present" or "exhibit" digital images of sexual conduct by someone younger than 18 — even when the messenger also is underage. A separate provision, applying only to phone images, lowers the minimum age to 16.
It would be the second sexting investigation in suburban [Indianapolis] schools in the last six months. Sexting is the exchange of nude photos through messaging programs such as Snapchat.
In December, more than a dozen cellphones were seized at Avon High School from students who were allegedly sharing nude images of their classmates. In that case, police discovered the images hidden in a cellphone app that was disguised as a calculator.

Nearly three quarters of 15 to 18-year-olds have sent sexually explicit text messages while half have sent naked or semi-naked photos and videos of themselves, the research for the Australian government found.
In a separate study it emerged that one in five iPhone owners have ‘sexted’ the wrong person with one admitted sending a “lusty” text meant for her husband to her business partner while another sent an explicit photo to his mother-in-law rather than his wife.
Some 84 per cent of the teenagers questioned said they have received explicit messages by phone or email.
The survey, which quizzed more than 2,100 students across Australia, found that 70 per cent were sexually active . . .

"It appears to be happening universally and, while we need to be aware of the harm that can come if those messages are sent out far and wide or misused, it does not appear to be doing harm for the majority of kids," Mitchell noted in a Sydney Morning Herald report.
According to researchers, "Parents need to stop panicking about the use of technology and trust their kids - talk to them about their relationships, treating others well, having the kind of sex they want and being safe".

More than half (54 per cent) of all those surveyed have received sexually explicit written text messages, 42 per cent have received explicit, nude or nearly nude photos or videos, and a quarter have sent such images or videos. Among sexually active students, more than two-thirds are engaging in sexting.
More than 70 per cent of those surveyed said they had no regrets after having sex, while 54 per cent of those who were not sexually active were "proud to say no", and half wanted to be in love before losing their virginity.
Erin Filan,18, finished year 12 at a Catholic girls school in Northern Sydney last year, and is a member of the Youth Brains Trust at Young and Well Cooperative Research Centre – a not-for-profit group exploring the role of technology in young people’s lives. Two Barrington middle school students face possession of child pornography charges alleging they texted sexually explicit photos and video of a fellow student to a "large group of classmates," according to police.
According to a statement released by Barrington Unit District 220 Superintendent Tom Leonard, the allegations could lead to felony dispositions against the boys.
"These students and their parents find themselves in a severe situation," Leonard writes. "Their futures may be forever stamped by the careless use of an app, the tease of a text message, the unthinking post of an indecent photo."
Jeff Arnett, the chief communications officer for the school district, said the boys obtained the images from a student who self-shot the photos and video.

Batavia Police Detective Kevin Bretz on Monday said the department decided that educating the students on the proper and improper use of social media was a better idea than charging them.
Police had been investigating the case of inappropriate nude images that police said were taken by Rotolo Middle School students of themselves and shared with other students.
Six or seven students sent photos of themselves through cellphone text messages, Bretz said. Between 20 to 24 students received the photos.
Under state law, it is illegal for those younger than the age of 18 to distribute lewd photos using their cellphones or computers.

The survey, which quizzed more than 2,100 students across Australia, found that 70 per cent were sexually active . . .

Minn. School Admits Pro-Muslim/Anti-Christian Bias
This week, the Bagley, Minnesota school district agreed that their action in October of forbidding an Egyptian-born, American Christian pastor from speaking in the school auditorium during non-school hours violated his right of free speech, and that of local taxpayers who organized the event. The school, bowing to pressure from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MN) because the pastor planned to present evidence of Muslim violence against Christians, cancelled his speaking engagement.

Originally slated to speak at the Bagley High School Sunday through Tuesday, [Usama] Dakdok’s location was shifted to the church. The school had received calls from people who disagreed with Dakdok’s anti-Islamic message.
Dakdok spoke at the Calvary Evangelical Free Church on Sunday and Monday before a full house, according to a representative of the church, with approximately a dozen protesters outside [decrying the message of Dakdok]. Pastor Rick Moore could not be reached for comment.
Dakdok describes himself as an Egyptian born Christian who was taught Islam in a government school in Egypt. He came to the United States in 1992 and has since been preaching his ministry in effort to, "reach out to the Muslim people with the word of Jesus Christ."

About a dozen individuals showed up on Sunday to protest Dakdok, the director of Straight Road Ministries, an organization seeking to convert Muslims to Christianity and "expose the lies of the enemy who is seeking to keep people away from the truth of salvation in Christ." Despite the presence of protesters, the audience was full for both Dakdok's Sunday and Monday sessions.
According to his website, Dakdok converted to Christianity as an 11-year-old and came to the United States in 1992. He holds a Master's Degree in Missiology from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and founded The Straight Way in 2001.
Last December, Dakdok earned the ire of the Council of American-Islamic Relations Minnesota (CAIR-MN) in a talk titled, "The Truth about Islam," where he claimed that an Islamic revival in the country would lead Muslims to "start beheading your children and your grandchildren."
Dakdok also claimed that Muslims in America would "kill your children for not eating what is liked. For not eating the lawful foods" and alleged that for Msulims "killing you is a small matter."

Usama Dakdok was subjected to unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination by the Bagley Independent School. Dakdok was invited by residents of the small, northern city to share his story of growing up in Egypt, attending government schools, and witnessing the persecution of other Coptic Christians by fundamentalist Muslims.
A local Bagley resident rented the auditorium for the dates of October 27-29, 2013. The school district revoked the use of the facility four days before the event after the local Council on American Islamic Relations (“CAIR”) affiliate created controversy.
After receiving Liberty Counsel’s letter, Bagley School District reversed the decision and confirmed that Mr. Dakdok may return to hold the event [sometime in the future].

“Usama Dakdok is a Christian originally from Egypt, who grew up in that country attending government schools where he was educated about Islam as the state religion. In Egypt, as a member of the Coptic ethnic minority, Mr. Dakdok has also personally witnessed the persecution of other Coptic Christians by fundamentalist Muslims. As you may be aware in Egypt (as elsewhere), the Quran is explicitly cited as justification for the burning of churches, raping of women, murder of both sexes and all ages through beheading and other methods, forced ‘marriage’ of Christian women and girls to Muslim men and their forcible ‘conversion’ to Islam, payment of the ‘jizya’ tax for the privilege of remaining Christian, and other persecution that is inflicted upon members of the Coptic Christian ethnic and religious minority,” Liberty Counsel told the district.
So he is “uniquely qualified to give a Christian perspective about life under shariah (Islamic religious) law, and is a sought-after public speaker.”
Regarding his appearance in Minnesota, he had been invited by residents of the community to speak. A local resident, Tammy Godwin, made arrangements to use the school.
The national CAIR organization was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terror funding trial, and a review of the public record, including federal criminal court documents, past IRS 990 tax records and Federal Election Commission records detailing donor occupations, reveals that CAIR has been associated with a disturbing number of convicted terrorists or felons in terrorism probes, as well as suspected terrorists and active targets of terrorism investigations.

Predatory Pre-school Girl Forces Oral Sex on Boys
In the hyper-sexualized culture of today, is it any surprise that a little girl was documented to have performed oral sex on boys at her California pre-school on multiple occasions? Only a fool would believe that the same acts by this girl weren't taking place elsewhere.

Richard McCarthy told ABC station KABC-TV in Los Angeles that his 4-year-old son often received oral sex from a 5-year-old girl at school.
"He told me about all the bad things that girl had been doing to him," McCarthy said. "It went down in the classroom, it went down in the bathroom and it went down out on the playground."
"There were many children lying there and they watched these acts. In our business and in psychological terms, that's sexualizing a child at a young age," he said.

San Fran. Law Ensures Nudity at Parades, Festivals
Public nudity by gay men in San Francisco used to be for "special occasions," but now with naked men on the streets every day, public officials want to outlaw exposure of genitals and buttocks to only specifically-sanctioned public displays of debauchery.
-- From "Legislation seeks to clothe Castro's naked guys" by Heather Knight, San Francisco Chronicle 10/2/12
Nudity would remain legal at street fairs, festivals and parades - and thus, the Folsom Street Fair, Bay to Breakers and the Gay Pride Parade could remain as flesh-filled as ever. The legislation also wouldn't affect nudity at public beaches or on private property.
"I don't see a reason for banning [public nudity]," [a nude man] said. "People who don't want to look just turn the other way. Most people just walk by like I'm a streetlight."
[City Supervisor Scott Wiener] said he has seen the naked guys publicly wearing genital jewelry designed to stimulate arousal. He's heard reports from others that the naked guys have publicly engaged in sexual touching and charge tourists $5 to take pictures with them.
Currently, San Francisco bans nudity only in parks and restaurants and on port property.

[Wiener] said, “Our neighborhood has had a general tolerance” for the nudists, but their numbers have gone “well beyond what is acceptable” and “public opinion in our neighborhood has shifted.”
Last year, the board approved legislation that banned nudity in restaurants and outlawed sitting on benches or other public seating without first placing clothing or other material atop the seat first.
State law only bans “lewd” behavior, which courts have interpreted to exclude simple nudity, according to Wiener’s office. Other Bay Area cities, including Berkeley and San Jose, have already enacted similar public nudity bans, he said.

"This is, in my opinion, an attack on freedom," said George Davis, 66 years old, who was soaking up the sun Tuesday wearing nothing more than sunglasses and a hat, reading a book about Twitter, the microblogging service. As one of the Castro's famous nudists, "I meet people from all over the world," he said, including South Korea, France and Liechtenstein.
Some argued a ban would mark a slippery slope for the city. "Today it is naked people, and next week it will be drag queens, and then the week after that it will be people who wear leather," said Mitch Hightower, 51, who organizes an annual "nude-in" body freedom demonstration in the city and runs an exhibitionist website.
"If only they looked better, it would be great," said Tom Moore, bartender at the Twin Peaks bar in front of the Castro plaza, which doesn't let the naked people inside.
Josh Moreno, manager at the Hot Cookie shop on Castro Street, said he had no problem with the naked guys, including in his cookie store. "We don't discriminate against people based on their appearance," he said. "We shouldn't be focusing our taxpayer dollars to ban something that is just natural."

Students Have Sex in Video, as They're Taught
YouTube videos show children as young as 14 having sex at Frederick Douglass High School in Baltimore. Of course, the kids were just doing what the school has taught them, but they're being marked down for making videos of their sex, which are legally classified as child pornography.
Details have not been released concerning "safe-sex" techniques employed.

Two separate high schools are investigating videos containing footage of under-age students having sex, both on school grounds.
Facebook, Twitter and YouTube removed one of the videos that displayed the students as young as 14-years-old having sex outside a school building in Baltimore.
The second video, involving three students in an auditorium at Milford Mill Academy, has yet to be acquired by authorities.
Police say the students created it while a substitute teacher was holding class in the same room.

WJZ TV first broke the story of a 14-year-old Baltimore City Public Schools student who was allegedly taped having sexual relations on Baltimore City Public Schools Property. The victim in this incident had no idea that she was being taped, and thus could not have given consent to be taped. The video was posted on several websites and went viral.
The students involved in this scandal all attended Frederick Douglass High School in Northwest Baltimore. School officials confirm that the sex tape was filmed after school outside a building not used for instructional purposes.
It is important to remember that this student was 14-years-old at the time of the incident. The age of legal consent for sexual relations in Maryland is 16-years-old. This means that this incident will involve statutory rape and possible child pornography charges. In statutory rape cases- the State asserts that although the 14-year-old gave consent, she was not legally eligible to make this decision herself.

From "Family-friendly Rosemont hosts porn convention" by Madhu Krishnamurthy, Daily Herald 6/18/11
Having lost its bids to land a casino, Rosemont has worked to promote itself as a family-friendly destination with events like comic book conventions, family movie nights at Muvico Theaters, a new professional softball team and plans for a youth sports academy.
It's not the first time Rosemont has hosted a sex industry convention. Last year's Exxxtacy 2010, put on by New York-based Taboo Entertainment, brought to town more than 100 sex-themed vendors and dozens of adult film stars — including the mistresses of high-profile celebrities.
Rosemont has been most receptive of the event, which is not your typical porn convention, said organizer Victory Tradeshow Management director J. Handy.
Handy said the event offers sex seminars as well as 24 hours of live entertainment with rap music performances, bondage and burlesque entertainers, fire breathers, sword swallowers, midgets, as well as women performing on swings, poles, stages and trampolines.

From "Adult entertainment convention says it was unaware of ads" posted at NFL.com 6/21/11
Victory Tradeshow Management, the owner and operator of the adult entertainment convention known as EXXXOTICA Expo Miami Beach, released a statement on Monday making it clear the company had no part in the production of the ads that featured current and former NFL players . . .
"EXXXOTICA and/or Victory Tradeshow Management was not the producers or promoters of the party in question," the statement read. "The event was listed as an “Official After Party” of EXXXOTICA Miami Beach due in part to a licensing agreement to use the Expo’s trademark, but there was no knowledge of the alleged involvement of the players or use of any images in question. Once discovered, all offending ads were promptly removed."
The players featured in the ads were quick to disassociate themselves from the event last week.

From "Por-no: Bears’ Wright apologizes" by Neil Hayes, Chicago Sun-Times 6/16/11
Bears safety Major Wright issued an apology after his likeness was used on a promotion that included the world’s largest gathering of porn stars, even if the general manager of the Miami Beach, Fla., nightclub advertising the event claims it was all a misunderstanding.
“I authorized my name and likeness to be used in conjunction with other NFL players at a party I believed to be hosted by other NFL players,” Wright said in a statement released by his agent, Mitch Frankel. “I had no knowledge and never would have given authority for my name or likeness to be associated with Exxxotica Expo 2011.”
Former Illinois defensive tackle Corey Liuget, who was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the first round of the NFL draft, also appeared in the ad. Wright and Liuget are from the Miami area. Liuget and the other players appearing in the ad issued similar apologies.

Exotic Dancers in Catholic Univ. Business Class
Students paid $150 each to attend a business symposium at LaSalle University, billed in advance as including strippers. The professor "teaching" the class was caught in the act by the dean of the business school, and was subsequently suspended.

-- From "Strippers in Class? La Salle University Professor Jack Rappaport Suspended" by Anne Marie Dorning, ABC News 4/12/11
Rappaport was in the front of the classroom and three bikini-clad and miniskirted women were on top of him giving him a lap dance, according to Brad Bernardino, a sophomore at La Salle who attended the March 21 session. At various other times, Bernardino added, the strippers gave willing students lap dances, and a PowerPoint presentation related to business ethics ran in the background.
Officials at La Salle University, a Catholic university in Philadelphia, said they were "very concerned" about the allegations and have "launched a full-scale investigation into what took place and who was responsible."
The 57-year-old Rappaport's seminar reportedly cost each student $150 to attend and earned the students extra credit in Rappaport's business class.

From "Business Class Features Strippers" by Lauren Stenzel, Producer, CBS WTVR-TV6 (Richmond, VA) 4/14/11
. . . The Philadelphia City Paper interviewed students, who said three dancers, dressed in bikinis or miniskirts and high heels, had already arrived when approximately 30 students (two of whom were female) entered the classroom. Our CBS affiliate reports that about 45 minutes in, the lecture was broken up by Paul Brazina, dean of the business school. . . .
On a popular site where college students rank their professors, some comments show insight into other lectures Rappaport has held before. One comment says, "Extremely strange man. loves gambling, horse racing and strip joints. talks about all of the above all the time. doesn't like to teach. smart man about stats. easy A."

From "Students say La Salle symposium featured strippers, lap dances" by Emily Apisa, Philadelphia City Paper 4/8/11
. . . The symposium's subject, the students say, was the application of Platonic and Hegelian ethics to business.
The mere presence of these women was not entirely surprising, apparently, to Rappaport's students, who say that he regularly reminded his classes that the strippers had been booked. But "I was surprised they actually gave lap dances," said the same student. "I thought they were just there for effect, like he always said."
"Every student that went knew what they were getting themselves into," said another student.

Eons of Godless Human Evolution? NOT, Say 84% of Americans
According to a new Gallup poll, only 16% of Americans believe that humans evolved over millions of years without any involvement of 'a god.' A plurality of respondents, 40% believe that God created humans in their present form about 10,000 years ago.
UPDATE 12/27/10: Archaeological discovery of human remains in Israel counters current evolution theory
-- From "Four in 10 Americans Believe in Strict Creationism" by Frank Newport, Gallup, Inc.
A small minority of Americans hold the "secular evolution" view that humans evolved with no influence from God -- but the number has risen from 9% in 1982 to 16% today. At the same time, the 40% of Americans who hold the "creationist" view that God created humans as is 10,000 years ago is the lowest in Gallup's history of asking this question, and down from a high point of 47% in 1993 and 1999. There has been little change over the years in the percentage holding the "theistic evolution" view that humans evolved under God's guidance.
Americans' views on human origins vary significantly by level of education and religiosity. Those who are less educated are more likely to hold a creationist view. Those with college degrees and postgraduate education [in other words, indoctrinated] are more likely to hold one of the two viewpoints involving evolution.
These views have been generally stable over the last 28 years. Acceptance of the creationist viewpoint has decreased slightly over time, with a concomitant rise in acceptance of a secular evolution perspective. But these shifts have not been large, and the basic structure of beliefs about human beings' origins is generally the same as it was in the early 1980s.
Americans' attitudes about almost anything can and often do have political consequences. Views on the origins of humans are no exception. Debates and clashes over which explanations for human origins should be included in school textbooks have persisted for decades. With 40% of Americans continuing to hold to an anti-evolutionary belief about the origin of humans, it is highly likely that these types of debates will continue.

San Fran. Sado-masochistic Event Draws Politicians
California's annual Folsom Street Fair of sexual deviancy is routinely ignored by the mainstream media, and treated as commonplace by the local media.
"Other places try, but there's nothing on this scale. And you'd never see the public nudity."
-- From "Folsom Street Fair: Hot weather for leather" by John King, San Francisco Chronicle Staff Writer 9/27/10
. . . Sunday's 27th annual Folsom Street Fair, where bare buttocks and leather harnesses were common sights as hundreds of thousands of people came in close contact on a hot afternoon.
The 5-block-long fair was the centerpiece of San Francisco Leather Week, billed by nonprofit Folsom Street Events as "one of the most beloved fetish events in the world."
There was a raised stage where flogging was performed and a spanking booth where proceeds went to charity. Vendors included Quality Whips, Eternity Collars and Simply Latex.
The fair celebrates aggressive sexuality.

Exposed: Obama's Gay Agenda for Schools
UPDATE 12/2/12: School Doesn't Back Gay Agenda, President Obama Investigates
UPDATE 10/3/13: October is Homosexual Indoctrination Month at Schools
UPDATE 6/7/11: White House Says Gay Recruitment of Kids Successful
UPDATE 10/26/10: White House Forces Gay Agenda on Schools
New archive video of President Obama's 'Safe School Czar' Kevin Jennings speaking of his Gay Agenda on April 25, 1998 at Harvard.
-- From "Queering Education" by Mary Grabar, posted at American Thinker 9/3/10
The gay-positive lifestyle is being promoted aggressively in K-12 schools, often under the cover of anti-bullying efforts, under the leadership of Kevin Jennings, Assistant Deputy Secretary, Office of Safe & Drug Free Schools. Before his federal appointment, Jennings founded and ran GLSEN, (Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network). Under Jennings' direction, GLSEN was involved in activities that affirmed homosexuality to children with explicit materials. Jennings also wrote the foreword to a book titled Queering Elementary Education.
GLSEN, which in the 2008-2009 year enjoyed a $157,500 contribution from the NEA, the largest teachers union in the country, pitches its materials and training services to schools. It targets not only high school students, but middle school students. For example, the video and teachers guide for Out of the Past, about a 17-year-old who begins a gay-straight alliance group in her public school, is targeted for grades 7 through 12.
. . . the organizations that put out a brochure titled "Just the Facts about Sexual Development of Youth" . . . include not only the two largest teachers' unions, but also the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Psychological Association.
. . . Furthermore, "Just the Facts" is promoted aggressively on the (GLSEN) website.
In such a way, the peer reviewers, the accrediting organizations, and professors assert their power; they actively exclude not only opposing religious views, but also studies and professional opinions of those who disagree with them. It's a problem that plagues our entire educational system.

From "U.S. Government Takes on Schoolyard Bullies" by Carol Bengle Gilbert, Featured Education Contributor, Associated Content 9/13/10
Assistant Deputy Secretary of Education Kevin Jennings was keynote speaker at the Aug. 11 to 12 bullying summit. In an interview with Southern California Public Radio, Jennings noted that an Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development study showed the USA to be in the middle of 40 industrial countries surveyed in terms of bullying severity.
While the bullying summit has given bullying a high profile, Phillip C. Rodkin, an associate professor of educational psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and summit speaker, acknowledged that not much is known about effective anti-bullying practices. Historically, adults "didn't ask," he said. "They didn't want to know."
. . . The government will never know the true scope of America's bullying problem if it relies on self-reporting by schools.
As a nation suddenly concerned with bullying, we have a lot to learn.

'Gay Dollars' Buy Sex Offender Freedom in Palm Springs
"Gay dollars are keeping this city afloat. Let's get real. The gay events are the largest events in the valley. The gay tourist dollar is crucial to the economic survival of Palm Springs."
-- From "Palm Springs cops feel heat over gay sex sting" by Hank Plante, San Francisco Chronicle 7/18/10
. . . new frictions have arisen between the city's Police Department and its sizable gay population - estimated to be as high as 30 to 40 percent - over a police sting of gay public sex.
Last summer, Palm Springs police used undercover officers to arrest 24 men in a gay neighborhood for allegedly trying to engage the officers in sex. While few in the gay community defend anyone having public sex - whether gay or straight - the anger is over the unusual charges in the case: The men are charged under Section 290(c) of the California Penal Code, making those who are convicted register as sex offenders for life, their names added to a police database.
The new scrutiny of the Palm Springs Police Department also reveals that there isn't a single openly gay male police officer among the 99 officers on the force (there is only one open lesbian), despite the city's reputation as a gay mecca. Reacting to anger in the gay community, the Palm Springs police chief now finds himself in the position of damage control. Last week, he met with gay leaders, and he brought in an openly gay Los Angeles sheriff's sergeant to help conduct sensitivity training on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues in the Palm Springs force.
The economic fallout on the city is not lost on City Manager David Ready, who says, "Palm Springs is very concerned and spends a significant amount of resources on tourism as our driving economic factor. So anything that affects tourism is of great concern to the city. That being said, the chief is doing his internal review of this sting operation, and he will be making recommendations on our policy going forward."

More Sex on TV - Mainstream Media Elated
If sex sells, TV programmers are adding inventory to an already humongous sale.
Viewers are about to see full-frontal male nudity, heterosexual, homosexual and group sex, and graphic scenes rarely — if ever — seen on mainstream TV.
-- From "Sex on TV: It's increasingly uncut — and unavoidable" by Gary Strauss, USA TODAY 1/21/10
MTV plans a June launch of The Hard Times of RJ Berger, a scripted comedy about a nerdy 15-year-old whose cool quotient heats up when his anatomical gift is accidentally exposed. And basic-cable network Spike's just-launched raunchy college-sports comedy Blue Mountain State (Tuesdays, 10 ET/PT) showed a masturbating school mascot on the Jan. 12 premiere, while last night's episode featured a scene suggesting oral sex between a coed and jock before the opening credits.
ABC's Cougar Town — which had a memorable scene that implied Courteney Cox's character administering oral sex to her date — premiered last fall. Also new in the past year: HBO's Hung, a dramedy about a well-endowed teacher moonlighting as a prostitute; National Geographic TV's adult-themed documentary series, Taboo; and VH1's titillating Sex Rehab With Dr. Drew.
Critics such as the Parents Television Council decry the mushrooming sexual content. "It's become downright ubiquitous," says council president Tim Winter. "Families are under siege, teenage girls are under siege. You don't know what the cultural impact will be down the road."
. . . Spartacus: Blood and Sand oozes explicit content.
[Spartacus star Lucy] Lawless portrays a conniving social climber who is nude in some scenes, commits adultery in others and uses sex to manipulate frenemies and family. One episode shows Lawless' character and her gladiator-camp-owner husband (John Hannah) manually stimulated by slaves before having sex. Upcoming episodes feature orgies and a gladiator whose large endowment ultimately leads to his downfall.
Noting the potentially off-putting content, the former Xena: Warrior Princess star concedes Spartacus isn't for everyone: "Pretty quickly, the audience has to realize they aren't in Kansas anymore. There will be (viewers) who are truly horrified and switch this off."

Obama Education Adviser Recommends Pornography to Children
President Obama's "Safe Schools Czar" [Kevin Jennings], already a target of social conservatives for his past drug abuse and what they say is his promotion of homosexuality in schools, is under fresh attack after it was revealed that the pro-gay group he formerly headed recommends books his critics say are pornographic.
-- From "Obama's Safe Schools Czar Tied to Lewd Readings for 7th Graders" by Maxim Lott, FOXNews.com 12/14/09
The group under fire is the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), which Kevin Jennings, now the assistant deputy secretary for safe and drug-free schools in the Department of Education, founded and ran from 1990 to 2008.
GLSEN says it works to create a welcoming atmosphere for homosexual students in schools, and that effort includes recommending books for students of all ages.
But critics say many of the books, particularly some that are targeted for children between Grades 7 to 12, are inappropriately explicit. A full list is available at the blog Gateway Pundit, which has published dozens of controversial passages from the books.
"Reflections of a Rock Lobster" was recommended in 1995, the year Jennings became GLSEN's first executive director; "Passages of Pride" made the list in 1997 and "Queer 13" in 1999. Those are just three out of over 100 books that GLSEN has recommended for students in grades 7-12 since 1990, and all three remain on GLSEN's recommended reading list.
. . . guidelines, listed on each book recommendation page, read: "All BookLink items are reviewed by GLSEN staff for quality and appropriateness of content. However, some titles for adolescent readers contain mature themes. We recommend that adults selecting books for youth review content for suitability."
But critics say the guidelines themselves are damning, because they confirm that GLSEN staff have checked the books for appropriateness. And Jennings, they point out, was in charge at the time.
Department of Education spokesman Justin Hamilton declined to comment about Jennings' role in recommending the books.

Washington Post: Porn is Everywhere
Oh, how American society has changed! Such a writing as this would be unimaginable not many years ago -- it used to be that "consuming" porn was relegated to creepy, back alley shops.
-- From "Publicly, a whole new lewdness" by Monica Hesse, Washington Post Staff Writer 11/12/09
. . . the increasing popularity of laptops and handheld devices, and the prevalence of wireless Internet access, means there's a greater chance of becoming a bystander to a complete stranger's viewing proclivities. Like being exposed to the cigarette smoke of a nicotine addict on the street, people are inhaling secondhand smut.
Last fall, some airlines announced they would work on filtering in-flight Internet access to prevent the surfing of inappropriate content (dirty DVDs brought on by passengers, however, would be nearly impossible to filter). But this secondhand smut can also happen on the ground. On buses. In gyms. In movie theaters.
Perhaps this is the real problem: the increasingly blurred boundary between public and private. If we are so accustomed to burying our noses in tiny screens, carrying our entertainment in and out of the house, perhaps people are simply getting confused as to where they are.
Those afflicted with secondhand porn say it's not that they oppose adult entertainment. The trouble was knowing that they couldn't escape it, not until the plane landed or the Metro doors opened.
