Lora Sue Hauser filed a defamation lawsuit Monday in Cook County Circuit Court against George V. Fornero, Andy Zakszeski, and other unknown persons, who allegedly worked in or near north suburban Highland Park [School District 113]. The lawsuit seeks in excess of $50,000 in damages.

On Nov. 12, 2008, the defendants allegedly sent out an e-mail stating Hauser had a picture of Hitler in her residence, despite Hauser being Jewish and not having a photo of the dictator in her home, the lawsuit stated. Hauser was and remains “deeply troubled” by the e-mail because she is a Jewish woman, the suit stated.

In subsequent e-mails sent by the defendants, Hauser was accused of being a member of a hate group, being a “crazy” person, having her home foreclosed upon and of being engaged in unusual sexual acts. All the e-mails sent about her were false, the suit stated.

The three-count defamation lawsuit claims the e-mails damaged Hauser's good reputation, and injured her in a personal capacity.
