Radical feminists are bringing back the Equal Rights Amendment, a bill heavily promoted in the 1970’s and early 1980’s. CWA President Wendy Wright says that what was a bad idea back then, is an even worse idea now. She adds that many of the original measure’s popular features, like workplace protections and equal pay, were long ago added to federal law. That leaves only the downside for today’s ERA:
- women being included in a military draft
- taxpayer funding of abortion
- legalization of prostitution
- words like “manmade” removed from federal laws and regulations
