A Gay Weekend (2 Moms, 2 Dads, 2 Sad)

While I was having a gay weekend (in the traditional sense of the word) - finding a trainer for my 3 yr old Arabian mare and visiting friends - a different sort of gay weekend was being celebrated across America...

In NY...
Outrageous costumes were abundant all along the parade route, including men in short skirts and tiaras and long-legged drag queens in knee-high boots.
In Columbus, OH...
A boy along the route wearing blue tie-dye held up a sign: “2 Moms. 2 Dads. Too Cool.”
In Chicago (check out this video)... Governor Rod Blagojevich called it "a celebration of the Declaration of Independence." Chicago Police Superintendent rode in the parade, as did a float full of homosexual police officers. Organizers reported 400,000 in attendance.
Rick Garcia, political director of Equality Illinois, said he expects that formal objections will be filed this week over petition signatures gathered on behalf of a non-binding referendum proposal that would ask voters in November whether the state constitution should be amended to define marriage as between one man and one woman.
